In Ref. 1, the first full sentence in the right-handcolumn of p. 1608 should read as: ‘‘Although BBOis phase matchable down to 187 nm and shorter inthis conf iguration without a very large (2–4±) changein u (and hence in deff), and B2 is also suitableto accommodate the phase matching, tunability be-low 187.9 nm becomes limited by the exponentialincrease in crystal absorption.’’
