“But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)“ 他 对 我 说 ： 我 的 恩 典 够 你 用 的 ， 因 为 我 的 能 力 是 在 人 的 软 弱 上 显 得 完 全 。 所 以 ， 我 更 喜 欢 夸 自 己 的 软 弱 ， 好 叫 基 督 的 能 力 覆 庇 我 。” ( 哥林多後書 12:9)

“3 … He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you. 4For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him to serve you.” (2 Corinthians 13:3b-4)“3 ... 因 为 ， 基 督 在 你 们 身 上 不 是 软 弱 的 ， 在 你 们 里 面 是 有 大 能 的 。 4 他 因 软 弱 被 钉 在 十 字 架 上 ， 却 因 神 的 大 能 仍 然 活 着 。 我 们 也 是 这 样 同 他 软 弱 ， 但 因 神 向 你 们 所 显 的 大 能 ， 也 必 与 他 同 活 。” ( 哥林多後書 12:3 下 -4)

1. A thorn in the flesh 肉体的一根刺 (2 Cor. 林後 10:7)

▪ A Thorn 一根刺“A thorn in the flesh was given to me …” (2 Cor. 林後 10:7)

“ 加在我肉体的一根刺 …” ( 林後 10:7)

▪ A Crown of Thorns 荆棘冠冕“and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head...” (Mat. 27:29) “ ”用荆棘编做冠冕，戴在他头上。 ( 馬太福音 27:29)

2. God’s sufficient grace 神够用的恩典 ( 林後 2 Cor. 12:9)

“23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, …” (Rom. 3:23-25a)23 因为世人都犯了罪，亏缺了神的荣耀；

24 如今却蒙 神的恩典，因基督耶稣的救赎，就白白的称义。 25 神设立耶稣作挽回祭，是凭着耶稣的血，藉着人的信，要显明 神的 义； ...” ( 羅馬書

3:23-25) “Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ,

the Father's Son, will be with us in truth and love.” (2 John 1:3)“ 恩惠，怜悯，平安从父 神和他儿子耶稣基督在真理和爱心上必常与我们同在！ ( 約翰二書 1:3)

3. Christ’s Resting Power 基督覆庇的能力 (2 Cor. 哥林多後書 12:9) Make perfect in weakness 得完全

“God’s power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor. 12:9) 在人的软弱上显得完全 ( 林後 12:9)

3. Rest on me 覆庇我“Christ's power may rest on me” (2 Cor. 12:9)

好叫基督的能力覆庇我 ( 林後 12:9)3. Do everything through Him 靠着基督凡事都能做

“13I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” (Phil. 4:13)“13 ”我靠着那加给我力量的，凡事都能做。 ( 腓立比書 4:13)

4. When I am weak, then I am strong (2 Cor. 12:10) 我甚麽时候软弱，甚麽时候就刚强了 ( 林後 12:10)

For Christ's sake 为基督的缘故 Take pleasure (NKJV) or delighted 可喜乐的 By his Spirit 藉着他的灵

6in order that he may give you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power by his Spirit in the inner man; “16 求他按着他丰盛的荣耀，藉着他的灵，叫你们心里的力量刚强起来

” ( 以弗所書 3:16)

What is the thorn in my flesh ? 甚么是我肉体的一根刺 ?

Do I know and receive God’s sufficient grace through Jesus Christ? 是否我认识也接受了 神在耶稣基督够用的恩典呢 ?

Do I experience the power of Christ overshadowing my weaknesses? 是否经历到基督的能力覆庇了我的软弱呢 ?

Can we be well content in the midst of sufferings on behalf of Christ? 我们能为基督受苦而喜乐吗 ?
