environmentally safe reuse and recycling of e-Waste Provide opportunities for safe recycling of e-Waste to

households and small establishments

Act as a source of inspiration towards other informal

sector companies



Roots

Gowri Palya is the heart of e-Waste recycling in

Bangalore with more than 50 units located there

Dismantlers and precious metal recovery done in tiny

units interspersedb

Two years training in testing and upgrading e-waste,

Motivation

Realized that there was no future for the informal

sector unless we upgrade and work like the formalsector

Wanted to demonstrate to the rest of the sector that it

was possible to get official recognition



µPasha could be the first person to convert from the

informal recycling sector to the formal sector in India,

and perhaps in the world, too.¶
