Born in Hefei, Anhwei Province, China in 1916, Mr. Yuan has been infl uenced by the ideas of Confucianism since his youth. Imbued with such fine philosophy, he devoted 50 years of his life to education. He constantly expands the horizon of his knowledge and he masters in various calligraphy styles and scripts. In addition, he has exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions.

Born in Jiangsu Province, China, Mr. Li has been fond of calligraphy and focusing on Yan Zhen-qing and Liu Gong-quan’s styles for 82 years. Numerous institutions, schools, temples and businesses have requested his writing. He has held 9 solo exhibitions and one in Nantong Museum in China. In 1997, he received the honor of Outstanding Senior Artist Award conferred by Taichung City Government.

Mr. Lee has been invited to participate in hundreds of group exhibitions, and won many prizes. In 1998, he received the honor of Outstanding Senior Artist Award conferred by Taichung City Government. He was also included in the A Comprehensive Collection of Taiwan Regional Art History.

Mr. Wang was a graduate of Jiangsu Military School. He was the 4th president of the Chinese Society of Oracle Bones, an honorary pres ident of Da Dao Calligraphy and Painting Society, and of Wang Duo Calligraphy and Painting College in Luoyang, China. He is also a senior consultant of Luoyang Girls’ Calligraphy and Painting College.

Born in 1924, Mr. Wang is currently a board member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association, as well as the central Taiwan chapter leader. He has been participating Taiwan Annual Calligraphy Exhibitions for many years and he was a member of Lanting Calligraphy Society. In 2001, he received the honor of Outstanding Senior Artist Award conferred by Taichung City Government.

Mr. Chen has attended 125 domestic and foreign group exhibitions and 40 invitational exhibitions. His works have been selected in 103 exhibition catalogues. Also named Jia-chin or Siao-tian, Mr. Tso is the current honorary president of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Association, and also a member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association and the Chinese Fine Arts Association. He is skilled at various calligraphy scripts, including the regular, clerical, cursive and especially semi-cursive script.

Mr. Cheng has been teaching calligraphy since 1972 and being an instructor voluntarily in Fo Guang Shan Monastery since 1992. He also sells his works for charity. In 2001, he received the honor of Outstanding Senior Artist Award conferred by Taichung City Government. In 2003, he held a solo exhibition of calligraphy in Taichung City Cultural Affairs Bureau.

Mr. Chen graduated from the Fine Arts Department, National Taiwan Normal Univers i ty and conducted fur ther researches in fi ne arts. He has been a juror of various art competitions, including the Provincial Art Exhibition, Civil Servant’s Art Exhibition, National Student’s Art Exhibition, Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition, Jin-hong Art Competition and Ming-tzong Art Competition. Currently he is a board member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association.

Mr. Wu won the New Artist Award of the First Art Foundation in 1987, and the Gold Medal of Calligraphy in the Olympic Art Show Korea in 1988. At the same year, he held a solo exhibition of calligraphy in the Taiwan Museum of Art (now National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts). In 2006, he won the 13th Global Chinese Cultural Art Heritage Awards in calligraphy category. Currently, he is an assistant professor in Chaoyany University of Technology
