Strategic orientation 11 Bayaaz dairy will go with ethnocentric and polycentric strategies all over Afghanistan The reason behind the ethnocentric strategy for Bayaaz dairy is the current roles and regulation or products for all the provinces Cause Afghanistan is an agricultural country that most of its people are busy with agriculture product so in initial stages of our work we can go with ethnocentric strategy cause its less risky and not requiring too much cost of production for us 12. Contd 12 But later on when we reach somewhere our maturity stages in the market so we can go with Polycentric strategy Cause different provinces of our country are having different demands like: people who are living in cities like Kabul, Herat and Mazar e Sharif these are more health and weight oriented and preferring low calorie products and products like milk, chocolate, not products like cream, butter as compare to provinces So in maturity stages of our work we are going with local culture 13. Strategic planning process 13 Mission & objective s Environ mental scanning Strategy formulat ion Evaluati on & control Strategy impleme ntation 14. 14 15. Mission and Objectives 15 Mission: Bayaaz dairy Basic mission is providing high quality dairy products at reasonable prices with local touch Objectives: Bayaaz dairy can achieve its basic mission by short term objectives like : Targeting small retailers and formers to sell their milk to our company by offering several benefits like: insurance of their products - Getting our customers attraction towards our products by selling it in low prices - Satisfying health section of the government by offering products with hygiene. 16. Environmental scanning 16 Internal analysis of the firm:(SWOT analysis) Strenghts: Bayaaz dairy main production company will locate on Mazar e Sharif in 4 acers land so land is having no cost cause its companies main asset And secondly Mazar e Sharif is a known name for agricultural products specially dairy products in low cost from local suppliers means formers In addition; its central location for importing machinery form northern countries like: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in reasonable prices as compare to china. 17. Contd 17 Weeknesses: As Bayaaz dairy is the initiative taker in the dairy market of Afghanistan, so lacking experience secondly; attracting more number of customer towards new product is pretty much time consuming and costly In addition; there are no awareness of the product in the market and having no image so creating image by using media tools like TV, radio, newspaper and net is very much costly Lack of trained staff is also one of the weakness. 18. Contd 18 Opportunity: As Bayaaz dairy is the first one in the dairy industry so there is no local competition for them as compare to other product lines And it can also enjoy high profit margin in the market Government is also supporting initiative takers by getting low taxes and not having tight laws for them It also having local suppliers at large scale both from small retailers and formers 19. Contd 19 Threat: Lack of security is one of the basic threat for any new business Political instability can be another threat cause it is having its major impact on balance of transactions Existence of foreign dairy products in local markets and their preferences by local people is another threat for the Bayaaz dairy 20. Contd 20 External macro environment: Political and legal factors: Legal stability and laws regarding taxation, new entrance in the market, export charges are effecting Bayaaz dairy at large skill Economics: Purchasing power of customers and their standards of living are those factors that can effect Bayaaz dairy and it should consider it 21. Strategy formulation: 21 From Michael porters those four forces three forces can apply by Bayaaz dairy Cause factors condition, demand condition, and related and supported firms are there to support Bayaaz dairy Factor conditions: Bayaaz dairy are making its product by complete local touch from its milk supply to making process to packaging so for this reason it make most use of factor conditions and enjoy high profit 22. Contd 22 Demand conditions: Demand for dairy products are very high, but due to high prices of other international and local retailers people cant afford it, so this is a plus point for Bayaaz dairy to enter Afghan dairy market Related and supported industries: Bayaaz dairy can satisfy itself wholly by local suppliers and farmers so it reduces its cost and can help them to have more profit margins from the market. 23. Strategy Implementation 23 Bayaaz dairy can implement its strategies on better way by dividing the tasks into different departments like: Production department must have its own resources and procedure to achieve its task at the same way marking, finance, HR and other departments And also it has to involve its employees on the process of making its strategy, cause they are the once who are going to implement. 24. Evaluation and control 24 Bayaaz dairy has to identify some of the steps for evaluation and control like: Define or make it specific your parameters to be measured like for Bayaaz dairy its parameter for long term is to provide quality dairy products at lower prices And for this achieving this, it must clearly defined tasks of each departments in different quarters and their specific objectives to achieve this task can be creating awareness of product, building image of product For better controlling purpose it can compare measured result of each department with predefined standards and can take corrective action accordingly. 25. Process of making 25 Bayaaz dairy basic products at initial stage are: Milk, butter, Cheese, Yoghurt, Ice cream and cream And at initial stages of the business we required some around 40.000$ to start this business But the plus point for us is closeness of our main factory to the northern countries that reduce our cost in importing machinery And also there is no land or property charges on us because property is their to use it for this business in Mazar e Sharif 26.
