Global Reach – Network Expansion
Aggressive new SMS Reach Expansion Continues
Leverage Direct Relationships and GSMA Open Connectivity Peering Agreements
Targeting hub providers that will provide the best reach for our customers Belgacom International Carrier Services (BICS) Peering Agreement Added almost 60 new operators for +1 More to follow as BICS turns up more carriers
New direct 2-way customer: Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) of Russia (over 50 million subscribers) Now launched
Middle Eastern hub based in Geneva is being built as we speak – should ultimately enable more Middle Eastern Traffic
Working with numerous global operator groups – several who whom, are launching their own intra-group hubs: Telenor, Orascom, TIM Sparkle and others
Continued Working in Africa to shore-up full country coverage, including larger subscriber countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa.
In Asia-Pac, we have strong coverage, having recently completed a direct-link to China Mobile for +1 and the Rest of the World. Expect to see more direct links from the “stan” countries as well as India and Taiwan.
Sybase 365 Confidential22
Global Reach – Eastern Europe

Global Reach - MMS
North American Domestic MMS is over 90% complete (see the Ecosystem slide, next)
Operators are planning international connectivity; however, to date, only about 200-220 operators worldwide, even offer international MMS services.
Sybase 365 is working on new MMS peering agreements with key international MMS hubs including Belgacom, Aicent, Cable & Wireless. We are also considering an all-Germany connectivity. Peering agreements with these companies is slow going.
Additional Sybase 365 MMS prospecting includes some new domestic markets outside USA, more Latin American connectivity, and more direct Asia-Pac and EMEA destinations

Deliver the Web as a Mobile Data Service
Situation
Most publicly available content on the web is formatted for PC’s, not mobile devices.
Content optimized for mobile devices is very generic. Subscribers want more access to the “regular” web sites they
visit on the desktop, not just carrier decks.
Result Mobile browsing experience for Internet content is poor. It takes forever to download and is hard to navigate. Subscribers spend less time browsing and more time waiting
to find what they want. Subscribers end up rarely (if ever) using the Internet from their
phone.
Solution Offer converged customers easy access to any of their favorite
websites and personalized content on both the desktop and their mobile phone.

Market Trends
Mobility increasingly treated as strategic part of enterprise IT, not a simple add-on or overlay
Recognition that effective mobile deployments rely on, and impact, back-office integration; no such thing as a “pure mobile” implementation
Recognition that a smart mobile implementation can create real competitive advantage – the potential to “leap frog” rivals
Mobile deployments moved beyond early adopter segments, e.g. field service
