Develop an ultrafast laser to improve the engraving process Remove thermal effects Obtain new frosting effects on the surface Improve process speed and quality

A coining die is engraved using an ultrafast laser Innovative robust laser source with improved performances 40µJ / 50W Avoiding thermal effects permits precise engraving µm-scale precision Engraved gratings produce unique “holographic” effects

A new laser-based process for coin manufacturing The effect can be applied on precious metals (silver, gold, …) The processing time is more than 5 times faster (+improved quality) Production of more than 500 silvery coins without any quality variation

Impact on partners Amplitude systems: a new ultrafast laser product, 20M€ in turnover

cumulated over the coming 3 to 5 years. In line with this business, more than 30 jobs for qualified laser specialists will be created.

ALPhANOV: a new competence in laser processing (+10% in turnover)

Monnaie de Paris: new visual effects giving a competitive advantage on the collection coins segment. 5x improvement on process time.
