I oversee all events (over 500) throughout the region, health and safety of audits or events, facilities and contractors, arrange large scale visitor events which include concerts, outdoor theatre, community events, sports events, artistic events etc. I have also contacted and built up relationships with external event organisations to build up the key events which include major triathlons, outdoor theatre, Segway and bungee activities and concerts and festivals etc. I also worked with the internal media teams to help promote through press releases, which include current news stories and latest promotions and events at all our sites and internal or tenants retail businesses. I also marketed key segments of the business which include fishing by producing the Annual Hooked magazine and ensuring national distribution in fishing magazines which also now include Apps. I also produced all the park leaflets, guides etc. I promoted all the key attractions in a range of regional and local magazines / newspapers throughout the East Midlands and East Anglia. I developed links with a range of external partners (councils and local interest groups) to improve community ties and have worked with them to ensure sport, art, health and leisure pastime goals are achieved in the parks and facilities. I enabled greater working with key retail internal and tenanted organisations to open up corporate opportunities around watersports and Rutland Cycling and Rocbloc. I worked with local wildlife trusts who operate the nature reserves at our key sites (which include permanent staff and volunteers). I developed the sites and buildings by bringing in local art groups, setting up weekly open water swim sessions (with Inspire2Tri), helping with the new inland water beach (opened in summer 2014), promoting and being involved with developing the new visitor centres at Grafham, Taverham and Rutland, developing Normanton Church and working with local hotels, B&Bs and other tourism attractions in the area. I also produced capital bids (ideas) for major site attractions including amphitheatre, electric boats and permanent temporary marquee structures etc I worked with park managers to enable both Grafham and Alton Water achieve Green Flag status and in 2016 look to achieving similar visitor award with Visit England. I developed reports, and data to create budgeting predictions, marketing plans, on site signage plans, reports for Greenflag data and updates for tourism reports etc. I have also designed many different generic posters, leaflets and banners and on every site ensure suitable locations to promote all facilities and attractions. These generic materials can be altered by all staff but also keeps the designs within the Anglian Water toolkit to enable our messages to be corporate and centralised but to also ensure the site has a professional look when producing low level promotional materials. This reduces designer costs and also print costs (low level costs to production) throughout all our attractions. In 2015 I lead the phase 3 of the site interpretation capital project which included installation at all parks in multiple locations lamppost banners, road signage and pedestrian notice boards (at all car park entrance points) throughout the region. Key Achievements: Successfully producing full and varied events guides including all parks activities, key facilities and magazines for distribution locally, regionally and nationally. Proven record in increasing visitor numbers within events and new attractions. Extending and involving outside organisations and artists to produce an improved and more varied events programme.
