At 15, without any formal education, Honda left home and headed to Tokyo to look for

work.He obtained an apprenticeship at a garage in

1922.Thereafter he left that to start his own autorepair business in 1928 at the age of 22.

1921 31 yrs Honda invented his first piston ring .

1945 42 yrs Soichiro Honda incorporatesHonda Technical Research Institute andrenames it Honda Motor Co., Ltd., capitalizedat one million yen.

1958 53 yrs Honda establishes American Honda Motor Co., Inc. The Super Cub, the Dream andthe Benly motorcycles are the first products.
