Mr V Putin, President,

having just watched a program on SBS television (Australian television)

titled “Putin, Russia And The West” I may state that I gained considerable respect for how you

were presented in this program. It also clarified much to me about Mikhail K of Yukos Oil. And

your response as to the puck I view was perfect as a response. As a self-educated 10

CONSTITUTIONALIST I held that as our Framers of the Constitution made clear that only the

governor-General of the commonwealth of Australia could declare war and as no such

declaration was made then the Australian Government had no constitutional powers to invade

Iraq. The High Court of Australia however refused on 4 occasions to accept my application to

seek to restrain the Australian Government from ordering Australian soldiers to invade Iraq 15

without a declaration of war. Hence I still pursue former Prime Minister John Howard to be held

legally accountable before the courts for his armed murderous invasion into Iraq and so his

fellow Ministers. Hence I was pleased to discover from the program that you had opposed the

armed invasion into Iraq, even so your issue was no evidence was presented about the so called

Weapons of Mass Destruction. I am a person who criticize those I view act inappropriately, and 20

my past correspondence is a clear indication of this, however I am also a person who will

acknowledge to someone when I view the person deserves to be acknowledged for good conduct.

While I view the Commonwealth of Australia had no legal justification to invade Afghanistan,

without a declaration of war, I do however recognize the cooperation you provided to the United

States when it intended, as it did, seek to destroy (terrorist) camps in Afghanistan. And, having 25

served at the then Iron curtain in NATO, I for one would have rather have NATO having

accepted your suggestion that Russia was to join NATO. How you turned around the financial

position of the Russian Federation, by cutting taxes but getting oil companies to commence to

pay taxes also gained my respect. Regretfully, generally your conduct and that of the Russian

Federation often is presented/ portrayed in a less favourable conduct then what now appears from 30

“Putin, Russia And The West” to be being the truth of matters. The program also referred to the

Chechen Republic (Chechnya) and I now look forwards that you will allow its citizens to vote in

a referendum in the same manner as you pursued in Crimea. After all you did set the standards as

such, and as I view it in breach of Ukraine constitution and so why not then allow the same for

Chechen Republic? Crimea made no choice because the purported referendum was 35

unconstitutional and didn’t provide any option to remain part of the Ukraine. I view this is an

error you made that might in time haunt you and may undermine your historic value and status.

Always consider not what you may gain in the short term but what you may lose in the end! One

major error can last longer than any successes. Was it really worth it, you ought to ask yourself.
