牧民諮議會 Pastoral Council 牧民諮議會已向堂區教友說明所擬堂願景、使

命、及核心價值，收集到十一份的回饋意見。目

前正計劃聘請策略計劃專家 Tony Fleo 前來主持

策略計劃堂區領袖會議，以為堂區願景、使命、

及核心價值做最後的定稿。並將成立策略計劃委

員會從事堂區長期發展策略計劃。該計劃將包括

堂區發展策略計劃，並據以定義對建築設施的需

要及其相應計劃。採取策略計劃的程序之目的，

在於建立堂區的共識。牧民諮議會及財務諮議會

將分別擬定建議神父邀請參加策略計劃堂區領袖

會議的名單。林神父將發出邀請函，邀請他們來

參與並為這程序奉獻心力。

我們在此懇請教友們齊心為堂區發展策略計劃

程序的成功祈禱，為我們能建立堂區的共識祈

禱，為設立未來數年堂區發展方向祈禱，也為滿

足堂區所需設施及相應措施祈禱。

- Pastoral Council presented the vision, mission, and value statements to the congregation. Gathered 11 feedbacks. Pastoral Council now plans to hire an outside Strategic Planning Expert Tony Fleo to host a Strategic Planning/ Parish Leadership Conference to finalize the draft of Vision, Mission, and Core Values statements; then to form the strategic planning committee to do the strategic plan. The strategic plan will include the strategic plan for the parish and the facility requirement definition and planning. We will use the strategic planning process to build consensus for the parish. Pastoral council and Finance council will recommend the leaders to Pastor. Father Lin will extend the invitation for the persons to join and commit their time to support this process. - We would ask parishioners to help pray for the success of the strategic planning process so that we will be able to build consensus, set the direction of the parish development for the next few years as well as to address the facility need and follow-up actions.

1) Advent begins on Nov 29 Sunday and also begins a new liturgical year (year C) in the Church. The first stage of Advent season (before Dec 16) is to wait for the second coming of Messiah who will save us and make us whole. The second stage of Advent Season (Dec 17-Dec 24) is to celebrate the birth of Jesus who has humbled himself to live in our midst. We should follow his word and examples to live the fullness of life. 2) Christmas season is from Dec 25, 2009 to Jan, 10 2010, which includes the Christmas Day, Feast of Mother of God, Feast of Holy Family, and Epiphany. 3) During the Advent Season, the prayer group will meet every Friday evening after 7:30pm Mass, and will prepare a special Advent prayer in front of the Eucharist. We sincerely invite all of you to pray together in this special time of the year. 4) On Dec 25, 2009, Mass is at 11am. There will be no mass or adoration in the evening. 5) On Jan 1, 2010 at 5pm, the youth will start the New Year with adoration and prayer (in English). Please come to adore and praise our Lord together.

青少年陶成組 Youth Ministry Provided by Gregg Sander 12/12 9AM-4PM – Advent retreat at church. We are excited to have a special guest speaker for our youth. Monica Ashour from the Theology of the Body Evangelization Team will be leading our retreat. There is a suggested $15 donation to help supplement costs. Please register with Lisa Longoria. 12/19 8AM The youth will help distribute gifts to the poor on with the Missionaries of Charity in South Dallas. We will leave from Church at 8:00 and return after having lunch.

12/19 4:30 We will also have Welcome Angels at Aileen Chen's house. Please bring a gift no more than $5 for our white elephant gift exchange, and please bring a dish to share.

Christmas Program Contributions Needed 12/24 We will have our Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve. Families are invited to contribute something to the Christmas Evangelization Night program from 8-10PM. Examples might be reading a favorite Christmas prayer or poem, or singing a favorite Christmas song. Christmas carols will be sung later, but during the performance there might also be other nice less traditional Christmas songs that may be sung. Maybe a family will want to do a skit or favorite bible story. Please contact Debbie Haas or Angel Lee with your performance ideas.
