4. Another Side of Ibaraki

-In this topic, we introduce landscape, food etc.

of our prefecture Ibaraki as “Another Side of Ibaraki”-

There are many public holidays like National Foundation Day etc. in your country too. Here in

Japan, in addition to it, there is the Day for Citizens of Prefectures, which is on November 13rd

in Ibaraki. All of local schools are on holiday (unfortunately companies are not) and people can

enjoy for free or with discounted price than usual in many prefectorial tourist facilities on this

day, for example “Aqua World Ibaraki Prefectural Oarai Aquarium”, “Fukuroda Falls”(please

check CaReport No.5 regarding this spot) etc..

*Aqua World Ibaraki Prefectural Oarai Aquarium

Located in Oarai town. It’s one of the prefectorial facilities.

This aquarium is the largest breeder of sharks and also has

maximum water tank for Sunfishes(270t). Moreover, it is

known for first aquarium that held Penguin show in Japan.

It’s popular spot by not only Japanese but also foreign tourists.

3. Tire Racks by Hitachinaka Plant Staffs

Staffs have assembled tire racks in Hitachinaka Plant since September, which about 300 tires

can be stocked. The 3 pictures surrounded by red line was taken on September 24th and other

2 photos surrounded by blue line was on October 15th. It seems that the racks have been

completed but .When we finish, we’ll inform in CaReport!
