Giacoklima ceiling heating and cooling system
Giacoklima underfloor heating and cooling system
The giacoklima® radiant ceiling system represents an easy, rational and innovative solution for heating and cooling of build-
ings.
Easy and innovative Giacoklima® ceiling system consists in a metallic or plasterboard false ceiling. In the upper part a thermal activation consist-
ing of pipes and thermal diffusers allows to control the temperature on the surface, transforming it in a heating and cooling
system. It is possible to heat and cool buildings with a single system; but the system is invisible, as it is integrated into the
false ceiling.
Radiant thermal exchange Giacoklima® ceiling uses radiating transmission for the thermal exchange with the room; therefore it conditions the room
casing instead of the air and the only convective effect is the natural one. In this way there are no perceivable draughts and no
dust circulation.
The large surface of a radiant false ceiling permits a high exchange of thermal energy between active surfaces and room,
maintaining very limited temperature differences both horizontally and vertically.
Efficient and sustainable technology Due to the supply temperature of the radiant ceiling, less extreme than that one requested by traditional systems - both in
heating and in cooling - and closer to the room temperature, it is possible to fully exploit the potential of energy saving of-
fered by advanced technical solutions and renewable energy sources. The result is a considerable reduction of CO2 emissions
and a minimization of the impact on the environment, without renouncing to a high comfort.
Advantages in short High performance, low thermal inertia, great energy efficiency and no maintenance are the factors that convince technicians
most; high comfort, low working costs, excellent aesthetic and extreme flexibility in space exploitation are particularly es-
teemed by users. giacoklima® is the ideal solution for all buildings in which high comfort and consistent energy saving are
requested.
The underfloor radiant system giacoklima® was born to heat the buildings and uses hot water at low temperature. The heat transfer from the floor to the environment takes place through irradiation. Today the giacoklima® floor sys-tem can be used both in heating and in cooling; during the winter the system works with a water temperature between 25°C and 45°C whereas in summer the operating temperatures are between 13°C and 15°C. For installations that require an extremely reduced overall size the giacoklima® dry system, was developed, with the compact characteristic elements and the high heat output of the system associated to a layer of support of reduced thickness.

Solar Thermal System Giacosun
Is it possible that a building produces a part of the needed energy instead of consuming it only? The solar thermal system nowadays permits this with a contained investment and a safe and tested technology. The thermal use of energy is very important for the family budget: the production of sanitary hot water and heating may require up to 80% of the energy consumed in a house. But a remarkable share of this energy may be given available by the solar thermal system which has a simple but very important task: it converts the sun rays, available free of charge and in large quantities for several months per year, into energy to heat water. Providing the house with a solar thermal system is also a choice of big responsibility as regards to environment and future generations; due to the reduction of using fossil fuels, resources more and more scarce are pre-served and the emissions of gases responsible for climate change is drastically limited.
