Introduction:The Syrian Expatriate Medical Association is a medical relief organization, non-profit, licensed in Turkey, France and Britain.
The association aims to provide medical services at all levels of primary health care and support for field hospitals, leading to the development of health services by training medical staff and improving health awareness to promote medical reality as well as excellence in the Association’s projects, a strategic national Syrian project for prosthetics in partnership/ cooperation with several other organizations, in addition to the uniqueness of the Association through the maintenance of medical devices through its Medical Engineering Office.
Monthly Newsletter: SEMA in a MonthOur Monthly Newsletter aims to highlight the achievements and projects sponsored by the Association, by providing a clear idea to whoever follows up with the Association for the work load in these projects through various statistics, in addition to the coverage of events and activities in which the Association participate in detailed reports on the activities of the training department, education and courses hosted and outlining the number of medical devices that the Engineering Office repair or provide maintenance to.

Our goals:- Provide the maximum possible level of
medical services to all those in need, in the present and the future, without distinction between sex, race or political affiliation,
- Improve medical care according to international standards,
- Promote public health in all circumstances through awareness programs and prevention,
- Provide the best vision to improve the infrastructure of medical and mobilize all civil and governmental efforts to achieve this vision,
- Participate in medical relief all over the world and collect cash and in-kind donations,
- Communicate and coordinate with relief organizations around the world in line with the objectives of the Association and its goals.
6 SEMA In a Month
• The Association offers a wide range of primary care services across the supported centers which are spread in most provinces inside Syria and neighboring countries. We will provide some statistics that show the April 2015 workload, where these figures are full of primary health care services presented in five primary care centers, in addition to primary care services in eight hospi-tals that provide trauma services and primary care services.
• The total number of patients in five centers is 12,422.
• The number of health care cases in eight hospi-tals providing trauma services is 17,706 items.
• Thus, the number of cases of primary health care center in thirteen centers is 30,128.

Report on the blood bank in Eastern Ghouta:Part of the study carried out by the Statistics and Research of Syrian Liberal Doctors Union for the blood unit orders to the Blood Bank in East Ghouta aims to measure the commitment of medical centers regarding paper work. SEMA Medical Engineering Office: • The Engineering Office conducted a tour in several
hospitals in Western Halab and Idleb and repaired a number of medical devices (brackets device, a mobile X-ray device, Cautery and others ...).
• One of the achievements of the Engineering Of-
fice in SEMA was preparing a surgical operating room in the Martyr Doctor Mohammed Bakkar Hospital.
• It is one of SEMA’s hospitals in Halab countrysi-de.

• Also, SEMA Engineering Office had toured the Women Hospital, not belonging to SEMA, in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where they had installed incubators and a full operating room (anesthesia and installation of lighting devices,
Cautery and other operations ...) and ensured facilities’ readiness. In addition, the maintenance crew had maintained some existing anesthesia equipment and the Cautery to ensure their valida-tion to perform well

The National Syrian Project for Prosthetic Limbs (NSPPL)
• The Syrian Expatriate Medical Association (SEMA) continues to support the project of artificial limbs in the centrality of Reyhanli (in Turkey) and Idlib (in Syria) in partnership with Syria Relief, and the Organization of Every Syrian (Kol Soory).
• The 2015 fourth month statistics:• The total number of limbs: 50 • The number of limbs in Reyhanli center: 46 • The number of limbs in Idlib Center: 4 Success in the National Syrian Project for Prosthetic Limbs storiesDuring his training, a trainer wanted to stand a lady, gave her his hand and a follower of training together ....Gentleman toddler of Idlib, 5-year old, has his leg lost as a result of bombardmentIt is a child holding a lot of dreams. He has the courage and strength of a gentleman.When he came to our center, the child was scared and crying and did not want the installation of prostheses.
Thanks to the codification and help offered to him,Prostheses lifted him high and he was very happy, and was able to walk it well

The graduation of the Tenth Group of First Level training
The sessions had included theoretical lessons as well as practical ones. Students were allowed to apply their theoretical knowledge they had acquired in the theoretical section.

The Syrian Expatriate Medical Association SEMA provided a number of special contributions to the Ophthalmology (Eye) department and several surgical instruments : vascular and general in favor of the Bab Al-Hawa hospital (related to UOSSM), which is considered one of the most important hospitals in northern Syria. This hospital has a lot of medical and surgical specialties for operating critical surgeries that can’t be performed in the rest of the Syrian hospitals.

1- Support Sakba field Hospital:The Syria Expatriate Medical Association (SEMA) provided a financial amount of 15,000 US dollars to the Sakba field hospital, so as to enable the establishing surgery rooms within the hospital.
2- Preventive measures in Martyr Mohammed Bakkar Hospital: In the context of the preparations for the summer and vector control, and in order to eliminate the insects that cause and contribute to the spread of diseases and infection, thereby contributing to keep the medical climate intact, full workshops for Medical pesticides were conducted at Martyr Doctor Mohammed Bakkar Hospital complex rooms among preventive measures.
