Mode of transport

Mode of transport is a term used to distinguish between different ways of

transportation or transporting people or goods. The different modes of transport

are air, water, and land transport, which includes Rails or railways, road and off-road

transport.

Other modes also exist, including pipelines, cable transport, and space

transport. Human-powered transport and animal-powered transport are sometimes

regarded as their own mode, but never fall into the other categories.

In general, transportation is used for moving of people, animals, and other goods

from one place to another. The means of transport, on the other hand, refers to the

(motorized) vehicles necessary for transport according to the chosen mode (car,

airplane, ship, truck and rail).

Each mode of transport has a fundamentally different technological solution, and

some require a separate environment. Each mode has its own infrastructure, vehicles,

and operations.

Road transport

A road is an identifiable route of travel, usually surfaced with gravel, asphalt or

concrete, and supporting land passage by foot or by a number of vehicles.

The most common road vehicle in the developed world is the automobile, a

wheeled passenger vehicle that carries its own motor. As of 2002, there were 591

million automobiles worldwide.

Other users of roads include motorcars, motorcycles, buses,

trucks, bicycles and pedestrians, and special provisions are sometimes made for each of

these. For example, the use of bus lanes give priority for public transport, and cycle

lanes provide special areas of road for bicycles to use.

Motorcars offer high flexibility, but are deemed with high energy and area use, and

the main source of noise and air pollution in cities; buses allow for more efficient travel

at the cost of reduced flexibility. Road transport by truck is often the initial and final

stage of freight transport.

Оборот there is / are (Construction there is / are)

Глагол to be в простом настоящем времени входит в состав оборотов there is /

are, которые употребляются для выражения наличия или отсутствия какого-либо

предмета, лица или явления. В русском языке соответствует

глаголам существовать, есть или вообще не переводится.

После there is употребляется исчисляемое существительное в единственном

числе (сартиклем a) илинеисчисляемое существительное. После there

are употребляется исчисляемое существительное во множественном числе.

Предложения с оборотом there is / are часто переводятся с конца. e.g. There is a

good park in our town. – В нашем городе есть хоро-

ший парк.

There are many flowers in our park. – Внашемпарке(растет) много цветов.

There is a lamp on the table. – На столе стоит лампа.

В вопросительном предложении is / are ставится перед словом there:

e.g. Is there a TV set in your room?

Отрицательное предложение образуется двумя способами:

1)при помощи частицы not при наличии артикля, неопределенного

местоимения или числительного перед подлежащим:

e.g. There are not any people in the street.

2)при помощи отрицательного местоимения no, если подлежащее не имеет

Job Description

Agricultural mechanics are responsible for fixing tractors, combines and other farming

endeavor, agricultural mechanics may use computer-aided systems to help troubleshoot

and even repair the faulty part or parts. This position might include tasks ranging from

working on an engine's electrical system or carburetor to welding cracked pipefittings.

Job Duties

These types of mechanics are responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the

repair and maintenance of farming equipment. Generally, agriculture mechanics use

tools to diagnose and then fix problems in a machine's systems. This step-by-step

process may involve replacement of parts or upgrading of outdated components. In

some instances, only a calibration or installation is required, such as equipping a chain

to a chainsaw or calibrating a fertilizer dispensing system.

Job Requirements

Education

There are a few requirements for prospective agricultural mechanics entering the

positions. Students should take physics, mathematics, and car repair courses while in

high school to help facilitate transitioning into a job environment. Some high schools

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS, www.bls.gov), the employment

of farm equipment mechanics and service technicians is expected to grow slower than

the average from 2018-2028, which is about average for all occupations. In May 2018,

the BLS reported that workers in the 90th percentile or higher earned $60,590 or more

per year, whereas the bottom 10th percentile earned $26,790 or less per year.

Agricultural maintenance technicians need to have an understanding of mechanics and

heavy machinery in order to perform their duties. A high school diploma is sufficient

for employment in most cases; however, jobs that involve work with heavy machinery

might only be open to applicants who've completed a formal college training program.

On-the-job training is the most common form of technical training agricultural

maintenance technicians receive.

Краткая характеристика

Число временных форм глагола в английском языке достигает дюжины по одной

простой причине: настоящему, прошедшему и будущему соответствуют по 4

разных по длительности, завершенности, регулярности действия.

Выделяют следующие видовые формы: Simple (Indefinite) – регулярные или однократные действия;

Continuous (Progressive) – процессы, происходящие в момент говорения;

Perfect – действия, завершившиеся ко времени сообщения о них;

Perfect Continuous (Perfect Progressive) – процессы, начавшиеся ранее и все

еще имеющие место во время рассказа о них.

У большинства форм есть по 2 названия, употребляемых в разных изданиях по

грамматике.

Существуют еще 4 видовременные формы, которые носят название Future-in-the-

Past (будущее в прошедшем). Они необходимы для сообщения о будущем с точки

Future, но глагол will заменяют на would.
