Teaching steps: Step1. Revision

Review the part Warming up. The mew words apartment floor , bathroom, study……are useful to the dialogue.

Step2. Presentation

Step2. Presentation A: Good morning, Johnson.

B: Good morning, Nancy.

A: Would you mind giving me a hand?

B: I’d love to , Nancy. What’s it?

A: I want to buy an apartment in Baishiyi .

B: What kind of apartment do you prefer?

A: I prefer one with three bedrooms, two living-rooms, a large kitchen, a bathroom, a study .

B: Oh , I know, “Sunny home”( 朗晴居 ) has this kind of apartment. I read the real estate ads in today’s newspaper. You may go looking.

A: OK, thank you.

Spep3 Listen to the dialogue

Play the tape for the Ss, then ask some questions about the dialogue.

Questions: Who is trying to find an apartment?

(Nancy) What kind of apartment does Nancy

prefer (like better)? (She prefers one with one bedroom, a large kitchen, a bathroom and a big living-room.)

Step4 Read the dialogue

1.     Play the tape for the Ss to follow.

2. Go through the dialogue. Explain some difficult words, phrases and sentences .

3. Underline the function sentences and let the Ss recite them after class.

Sep5. Drill the dialogue.

1.   First, drill the dialogue in two big groups.

2.   Then drill the dialogue in pairs. 3.   Ask some pairs to act out the

dialogue.

Step6. Make up a dialogue of buying an plat using some different information and act them out.(The students may play the roles )

Home work : Practice the dialogue after class. Recite the key sentences.
