His father was a lawyer in a district court.His mother passed away when he was one year

1. Childhood

His father said that when Descartes was a baby, his healthy was not good, and usually suffered from illnesses. After his mother died, he was taken care by hisfamily maid. He felt curious about everything.

When he was eight, he developed his lifelong habit of lying in bed until late in the

morning. He was not sleeping, but thinking.

2. Education

In 1612, he left school and then went to Paris, where he devoted himself to the study of mathematics.

He went to the University of Poitiers to study law, four years later he got his doctor degree.

After getting doctor degree, he joined the army of Prince Maurice of Orange. During his military life, he spent four or five years traveling through Germany, Denmark, Holland, Switzerland and Italy.

William Jefferson Blythe III.

His father, William Jefferson Blythe, Jr., was a traveling salesman who died in an automobile accident 3 months before Bill was born.

Clinton says he remembers his stepfather, Roger Clinton, as a gambler and an alcoholic who regularly abused his mother

Youth Phelps

In his youth, Phelps was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) ( 多动症 ).
