▰ The Chairman, Vice-chairman and 9 other EC members had a meeting with the President of The Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong, Prof Lap-Chee TSUI, and his subordinates, Rita Lun, Ma Siu-leung and Terence Chan to investigate the STEM education in Hong Kong.

▰ Mr. TAM Kim-hung represented the HKSSSC to attend the Prize Presentation and Closing Ceremony of 2016/2017 年度全港校際尊重版權創作大賽 organized by the Hong Kong Reprographic Rights Licensing Society.
▰ Mr. LAU Chi-yuen attended the “Advisory Committee on Public Examinations Administration” meeting.

▰ Ms. LEE Yi-ying attended the 3rd meeting of the Task Force underpinning the Steering Committee on Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases.

▰ The Chairman attended the InnoTech Expo 2017 Opening Ceremony.
▰ The Chairman attended the InnoTech Expo 2017 Closing Ceremony.
▰ The Chairman chaired the meeting of Joint Committee of the Secondary School Councils and the Secondary School Heads Association of 18 Districts to further discuss the measures to cope with the rise of S1 population.

▰ The Chairman was invited by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority to be the Respondent at the Panel Discussion for “The HKEAA 40th Anniversary Luncheon Forum” and to exchange views on the impact of public examinations and assessment.
▰ The Chairman took part in the adjudication of 「全年最佳寫作大獎」and「校際專題報道比賽」under the Ming Pao 20th Student Reporter Scheme.
▰ The Chairman was invited by the Hong Kong Island School Heads Association to be the adjudicator of the Hong Kong Island Outstanding Students Award.

– Three meetings held to discuss further development of senior secondary curriculum and assessment
– Survey among principals will be conducted

– 3 sessions of Open School Programme on STEM were successfully held and very well received with a total of nearly 400 participants
