Regeneration Unit , or The Energy Feedback Unit , the full name for “special energy feedback unit of frequency converter ”, is a kind of special inverter braking unit, is mainly used for large inertia frequency speed regulation system, help renewable electricity back to the grid produced in the process of the motor reducing the speed,help system achieve rapid braking .

What is Regeneration Unit ?

RU Series AFE Unit & Regeneration Unit arise at the historic mo-ment. RU600 was developed and launched in 2013, high-performance, active energy feedback unit 。

It can be used in conjunction with the inverter,can replace the traditional braking resistors, reducing heat generation.The effect of energy-saving is obvious. While minimizing the input side harmonics, Reduce the pollution to the grid in the use process of inverter. With a converter to achieve four-quadrant operation.

• Automatic switching of the rectifier / feedback operation mode based on the bus voltage change,

• the current flow in both directions, the bus voltage is held constant,

• the power factor is close to 1. • And can be limited to a single direction

4.Specifications and attention-Attention

Tip1. It is different with the inverter, RU600 require real-time monitoring of the grid voltage.If it shows “LP”,after power on ,firstly check the grid voltage detection line wiring is properly connected to the grid.

Tip2. When using an external inductor,grid detection wire needs to be connected to the grid side.

Tip3. Energy feedback unit and inverter applications in parallel mode, need to use Commonmode Choke in series with the bus, or will cause circulation, affecting the normal use.

Tip4. Power normal, keyboard display properly on RU600, but the bus voltage and bus voltage of the inverter are inconsistent, to confirm the internal fuse is damaged or not.

Tip5. It is different from the inverter, losing uncontrolled rectifier bridge , increasing the grid voltage detection circuit, so we can handle the rest of the abnormal as the inverter.

In my experiment, encountered some problems, and share 5 tips with you:
