- The course supports participants, step-by-step, in the recognition of clinical diagnosis ofminor surgical diseases mainly swellings, ulcers and breast diseases e.g. swelling, infection.Identify the related imaging and laboratory investigations. Interpreting the findings of imaging andlaboratory investigations, demonstrating the general guidelines for management or referral ofcommon problems e.g. abscess, cut wound, cyst. Observation of care for diabetic foot and malecircumcision and cancer breast diagnosis.

Course AimsThe course trains participants on how to apply their acquired basics of epidemiology, biostatisticsand research methodology in conducting a research.
This includes: literature review on a selected topic, construction of an appropriate research tool,selection of a suitable epidemiologic method and sampling technique and writing the researchproposal. After individual data collection, participants will be trained on data entry, processing,analysis and interpretation using the SPSS program (scientific package of social sciences).

Course Aims: By the end of this course the candidates will be able to understand the differentdiagnostic procedures, differential diagnosis and different lines of basic management of thecommonly encountered:
1. Cardiac disorders: Arrhythmias, Palpitation, Hypertension, Hyper-lipidemias, Chest pain,Ischemic heart diseases, Heart failure & the related laboratory investigations and guidelinesof medical care.
2. Respiratory disorders; asthma, COPDs, TB, pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, occupationallung diseases, lung cancer and sleep apnea & the related laboratory investigations andguidelines of medical care.
