INTRODUCTION
Six Sigma Was Developed at Motorola in the 1980s by Bill
SmithAs a Method to Improve Process Quality.
First Used to Improve Manufacturing Process Capability
and Then Migrated to Business Processes Capability
Early adopters of Six Sigma who achieved well-publicized
success include Honeywell and General Electric, where the
method was introduced by Jack Welch.
The Basic Premise Is, All Processes Have Variation. Variation Is
the Enemy.
