Install Window per AAMA 2400‐10 installa on standard.
Read instruc ons from beginning to end before assembling or installing Sill Nose.
Sill Nose is not compa ble with other Milgard Window or Door offerings.
Do not use Sill Nose on other manufacturers’ products.
Window must be properly installed and flashed prior to Sill Nose installa on.
Milgard Sill Nose does not provide structural support or func on as a water barrier.
Use exterior grade high quality sealants. For compa ble TiteBond® Sealant colors refer to page 12.

Determine Length of Sill Nose
1 Measure Width of Window Unit.
2 Determine how much Installer provided trim will extend from edge of Window Frame.

3 Add twice the Trim Width to Window Width to determine length of Sill. Also, add any
addi onal length wanted for the Sill to extend beyond the Trim.
Note: The Sill End Caps will each add 1/16"
to length of Sill, for a total of 1/8".

Cut Sill Nose
CAUTION! Use Safe Prac ces and a Blade Suitable for Cu ng Aluminum
4 Cut Sill to length.
5 Trial fit Sill Nose into Window Sill Accessory Groove.
Note: Window Jambs may interfere
with Sill Nose.

Notch Sill Nose
6 Posi on Sill Nose in desired loca on and mark interference point on Sill Nose Lip.
7 Use Metal Snips to cut Sill Nose Lip up to Sill Groove.
Note: Frame and Interference
points will vary.

8 Grip Sill Nose Lip between cuts with Pliers. Bend Back and Forth un l Sill Nose Lip breaks.
9 Check Fit in Window Frame.
When fully seated, Sill Nose fits into Window Frame up to Sill Groove.

End Cap Assembly
11 Seat End Caps into Sill Nose.
10 Apply sealant inside of Sill Nose on both ends.

Sill Nose Installa on
13 Push Sill Nose into Window Frame. Slide Sill Nose Lip into Window Frame Accessory Groove.
12 Place clear or color matched sealant into Accessory Groove along full length of Sill.
Note for Installer: Angle on top of
Sill Nose is 14 Degrees.

Clean Up
Wipe up any excess sealant.
Clean up scuff marks with soap and water.
