(exceeding the total number of live performances
attendees), bringing in a gross of $13.3 million
from North America and $5 million from overseas
In 1998, Metropolitan Opera develops Tessitura software –
“ERP for Opera”. In 2000, Tessitura was offered to other arts
organizations under license, and it is now used by a
cooperative network of more than 200 opera companies,
symphony orchestras, ballet companies, theater companies,
performing arts centers, and museums in the US, Canada,
the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland.
Today: 1700 venues, 54 countries.
