Parking & Directions to Cobb Galleria • Free parking is available in three of the main parking decks adjacent to the
building
• If traveling north on I-75 take Exit 258/Cumberland Boulevard. Go west on Cumberland Boulevard to the fourth traffic light at Cobb Parkway/US 41. Turn right on Cobb Parkway and go 7/10ths of a mile (5 traffic lights) to Galleria Drive. Turn right onto Galleria Drive. The Cobb Galleria Centre’s main (rotunda) entrance is located immediately on the right. An additional parking facility is located directly across Galleria Drive.

If traveling west on I-285 take Exit 20/Cobb Parkway/US 41. Continue to exit using the lane marked Cobb Parkway. At the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Cobb Parkway and go under I-285. Make a left hand turn at the second traffic light onto Galleria Drive. The Cobb Galleria Centre’s main (rotunda) entrance is located immediately on the right. An additional parking facility is located directly across Galleria Drive.
If traveling east on I-285 take Exit 19/Cobb Parkway/US 41. At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Cobb Parkway and move into the left-hand turning lane. At the first traffic light turn left onto Galleria Drive. The Cobb Galleria Centre’s main (rotunda) entrance is located immediately on the right. An additional parking facility is located directly across Galleria Drive.

Weekend Details
The Honors program is designed to recognize students for achievement in the area of academics, citizenship, school spirit and service.
Students being recognized will receive an invitation by April 29th
Invitations will be sent via kmail by the Honors Day Coordinator
The program will take place at the Cobb Galleria on Friday, May 20th
2016 at 1:00pm
Students receiving awards must arrive by 12noon. Light refreshments will be served after the program.
The photographer will be on site taking pictures during the event.
Attire: Students should not wear jeans, t-shirts, flip flops or tennis shoes to this ceremony.
Honors Day
The prom will take place at the Cobb Galleria Center on Friday, May 20th .
Only those persons with tickets will be allowed entrance into the prom. The prom is for senior students and their guests.
The prom will begin at 7:00pm and will end at 11:00pm.
Additional information about the prom has been kmailed to students.

Prom
The graduation ceremony will take place in Exhibition Halls at the Cobb Galleria.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 12 noon. Graduates must arrive by 10:30am and report to the holding area (signs will direct students to the area).
Only students are allowed in the student holding areas
Only students who have ordered a cap & gown or diploma package from Herff Jones, the official vendor will be allowed to participate in graduation

The doors will open at 10:45am for guests/families.
Tickets ARE NOT required to enter the Exhibition Hall.
Although tickets are not required we ask that you are respectful of all graduates and limit the number of guest to no more than 8 -10 guests.
There are more than 350 students participating in the graduation ceremony.
Graduation
Male Graduates – solid colored slacks and dress shoes; no tennis shoes/sneakers or flip flops; collared shirts
Female Graduates – preferably a dress not longer than the length of the graduation robe and no shorter than 2 inches above the knee, dress shoes, no flip flops or tennis shoes/sneakers; capris and jeans are not allowed.

Cap, gown, & stole are required for graduation participation
Caps and gowns should have been ordered from HerffJones by the deadline date published in October.
Caps and gowns are being mailed from Herff Jones directly to the students
We have only prepared for students who have ordered a cap and gown package from Herff Jones or those who have called and informed us they are wearing their siblings cap and gown from a previous year. Keep in mind if you are borrowing a cap and gown you still must purchase a diploma package

Purchase is not mandatory, but cost is minimal
Photos will be taken at all events over the weekend

Every student will have their photo taken when they are receiving their diploma
Students participating in honors day will have their photo taken when they receive their plaque/award
If you would like to take staged photos with a back drop, it must be done after the graduation ceremony. Arrangements to take those pictures must be made directly with the photographer

We will have a brief face to face rehearsal that morning
The ceremony will last approximately 2 hours in length

You must have a GCA cap and gown ordered through Herff Jones to participate
Seniors should arrive no later than 10:30am at the Cobb Galleria Center
The ceremony will start promptly at 12noon please do not be late – please stress this to your families
Arrange to arrive to give you time to park and check-in

Do not make the mistake of arriving at noon…you will be late you must arrive by 10:30am with your cap and gown to participate
The doors to the graduation will open at 10:45am and guests will be seated upon arrival
Make sure you remove your cap and gown from the bag prior to graduation. Hang it up to allow the wrinkles to fall out

All seniors should come dressed and ready to slip on their caps and gowns at the center
