FUTURE SIMPLE (FUTURO SEMPLICE)
In inglese ci sono molti modi per esprimere il tempo futuro. Uno dei più comuni è usare will (e talvolta shall: nelle forme interrogative con i pronomi I e WE). Nota anche che will viene spesso abbreviato in 'll. In italiano è possibile tradurlo con il futuro semplice o con il presente semplice indicativo.

She'll drink much water. = Berrà molta acqua

We'll drink a cup of tea. = Berremo una tazza di tè

You'll drink soon, I promise. = Berrete presto, lo prometto

Ron and Susan will drink 2 litres of water today. = Ron e Susan berranno due litri d'acqua oggi
* La forma contratta 'LL è quella più usata nel linguaggio colloquiale.
Forma negativa SOGGETTO + WILL NOT / WON'T + INFINITO SENZA TO + COMPLEMENTI
I will not drink I won't drink….
I won't drink 2 litres of water every day. = Non berrò….

WON'T + SOGGETTO + INFINITO SENZA TO + COMPLEMENTI
Won't I drink Won't I drink ? = Non berrò? (Non devo bere?)
Uso del Future Simple Azioni non programmate, ma decise nel momento in cui si parla
Es: It's hot. I'll open the window = Fa caldo. Aprirò la finestra
Previsioni, promesse, offrirsi di fare qualcosa Es: He'll pass the exam = Supererà l'esame Don't worry. I'll do it! = Non preoccuparti. Lo farò!
Azioni future certe che non dipendono dalla nostra volontà Es: Tomorrow I'll be 26 = Domani compirò 26 anni
Con i verbi: think (pensare), believe (credere), suppose (supporre), be sure (essere sicuri) Es: I'm sure you'll have a nice day = Sono sicuro che avrai una splendida giornata
