Coronary arteries are the two arteries supplying nutrients and oxygen to the heart. It divided into many
small arteries to provide blood for the whole heart and maintain the normal functioning of the heart.

Symptoms of coronary heart disease include:
1. Coughing
2. Chest tightness, discomfort or pain; the pain can
extend to shoulders, neck, lower jaw or arms
3. Dizziness
4. Pale face
5. Fatigue
6. Sweating, nausea, shortness of breath.

Treatments治療方法
1. Medication
The doctor may prescribe vasodilators or
other drugs to lower the blood pressure
and cholesterol. Patients should take the
medicine on time as instructed by the
doctor.
2. Operation
Doctor may recommend procedures such
as percutaneous coronary intervention (i.e.
“balloon angioplasty”), coronary artery
stenting and coronary artery bypass
grafting, based on the patient’s situation, if necessary.

Getting enough sunlight helps in lowering the
blood pressure.

Cigarette smoking can cause constriction of
the arteries and increase the blood pressure.
It also irritates the lungs, leading to breathing
difficulties, which further increases the

If you are overweight, your heart has to pump
harder to supply blood throughout the body.
Many overweight people also have high
blood pressure and high cholesterol.
