LETTER OF REFERENCE – CITY BUILDERS

Pieter van Niekerk and his team at City Builders was awarded the tender to the value of R3.6

million as the main contractor to do a major renovation project at my home together with

Lizel Raath as the architect and Leon Loyd as the civil engineer.

It was an extremely challenging project as it was not a "new build" and portions of the

existing building had to be incorporated into the new multi level home.

Pieter managed the project very well in terms of the demolishing, the construction, the

materials, the planning of site work of both his own teams as well as all the specialist sub-

contractors, the arranging of all relevant inspections and certifications from the local council

as well as the engineer and all other relevant role players. He ensured a safe working

environment at all times and dealt with all issues timeously and in a professional manner. The

project was completed according to the schedule and the quality of construction and finishing

was of an excellent standard.

It was a pleasure to work with Pieter and his team and I have no hesitation to recommend him

for similar projects.
