The World Hepatitis Day (WHD) 2015 has taken place!

As a passionate member of The Coalition to Eradicate Hepatitis in Asia Pacific (CEVHEP), World

Hepatitis Alliance (WHA) and Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL), Taiwan

Liver Research Foundation (TLRF) and her allies have launched a series of initiatives for World

Hepatitis Day (WHD) in July 2015. The colorful activities aim to raise disease awareness of

hepatitis infection for the people in Taiwan. The main theme of 2015 WHD, “Prevent Hepatitis: It' up

to you”, has been vigorously emphasized in the major media of the public.

The more than 2 weeks event was projected and managed by Taiwan Liver Research Foundation

(TLRF) and faculties of Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital (KMUH). The event was aimed to

deliver and present several fundamental messages about WHD for hepatitis prevention. These key

elements mainly focused on advocating awareness and providing scientific evidence regarding

disease prevention to the public. With the tremendous and novel works by our staff and allies, we

have successfully drawn much attention both from the officials and the public. We do hope and

expect the amelioration of hepatitis epidemic in the near future with the solid collaborative

construction from our global allies!

Best Wishes!
