What is Wood Badge? Leadership course for trained: Cub Scout Leaders, Venture Leaders and Boy Scout Leaders. Worldwide training tradition that reaches back to the days of the founding of Scouting. Six day experience, over two 3-day weekends, in which you learn more about Scouting, leadership and yourself. It is only offered in Tuscarora Council every Two Years—so act fast. All trained adult Scout Leaders are encouraged to attend Wood Badge; space is limited. Wood Badge is the highest and most advanced training course offered by the Boy Scouts of America. While it is rich in Scouting History and tradition, participants will learn modern leadership theories from contemporary scholars such as Ken Blanchard, Steven R. Covey and Spencer Johnson. When is Wood Badge and Where does it take place? February 27-March 1 2015—All Day (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)-Indoor class room March 21-23, 2015—All Day (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday)-Patrol camping Camp Tuscarora Scout Reservation , Four Oaks, NC Why Attend Wood Badge and How much does it cost?
