Overriding schedules: business use

Touchpor q to adjust the temperature.It will be maintained until the hold timeyou set.

To change the hold time, touch theHold Until arrow buttons. This time canbe adjusted up to the maximum timeset on the Override Duration screen inAdvanced Preferences (page 38).

Touch Overrideto use a pre-set occupiedtemperature if a person uses the roomduring an unoccupied period. The newtemperature will be maintained for 1 hourand can be adjusted up to the maximumtime set on the Override Duration screenin Advanced Preferences (page 38).

The programmed schedule will resume whenthe override timer expires. Touch Cancel Holdat any time to resume the program schedule.

This feature helps you conserve energywhen the workplace is unoccupied for

Setting holiday schedule: business use

This feature lets you customize temperaturesettings to be maintained on specified national

holidays. The thermostat resumes normalscheduling between selected holidays.1 Select US Holidaysor Canadian Holidaysfrom

the Holiday/Event Scheduler menu.2 Select Add/Edit Holidays. A list of national

holidays is displayed.

3 Touch the check box next to each holiday forwhich you want to maintain specific settings,(Touchpor q to scroll through the holidaylist.) then touch Next.Set the holiday schedule for Occupied

Initiating occupancy mode: business use

This feature keeps temperature at anenergy-saving level until you touch Press

to start occupancy. When you arrive, touchthe button to maintain a comfortabletemperature while the room is occupied.

you set. Temperature returns to an energy-saving level after the timer expires, or theOccupied period ends.

Cleaning the thermostat screen

When you select the Clean Screenoption, the screen is locked so you dont

accidentally change settings while youclean.

1 Touch MENU.

2 Select Clean Screen. A prompt asks if youwant to clean the screen for 30 seconds.

3 Touch Yes. A countdown timer displayselapsed time until the screen isreactivated.

Note: Do NOT spray any liquid directlyon the thermostat. Spray liquids onto acloth, then use the damp cloth to clean

the screen. Use water or household glasscleaner. Avoid abrasive cleansers.

Smart Response Technology

This feature (home use only) allows thethermostat to learn how long the heating/

cooling system takes to reach programmedtemperature settings, so the temperature isreached at the time you set.

For example: Set the Wake time to 6:00 am,and the temperature to 70. The heat willcome on before6:00 am, so the temperature

is 70 by 6:00 am.Note: Select Smart Response Technologyin the Preferences menu (page 31).

The message in recovery is displayedwhen the system is activated before a

scheduled time period.

Pre-occupancy purge

This business use feature turns on thefan 1 to 3 hours before each occupied

time period, to provide a comfortablework environment when you arrive.

Compressor protectionThe thermostat keeps the compressoroff for a few minutes before restarting,

to prevent equipment damage. Duringthis off time, the message waiting forequipment is displayed on screen.

Auto changeover

This feature is used in climates whereboth air conditioning and heating are used

on the same day.When the system is set to Automatic, thethermostat automatically selects heatingor cooling depending on the indoortemperature.

Heat and cool settings must be at least3 degrees apart. The thermostat willautomatically adjust settings to maintainthis 3-degree separation.

You can change options for a number ofsystem functions. Although many options,

such as language and temperature indicationsettings are the same for all setups, othersdepend on the type of system you have.

1 Touch MENU. The thermostat displays alist of options.

If you need to disconnect the thermostatfrom your Wi-Fi network (for example,

youre replacing your router), follow thesesteps:

1 Touch MENU.

2 Select Wi-Fi Setup.

4 Touch Yesto confirm that you wantto disconnect from the network. Thethermostat will display the Wi-Fi Setupscreen.

Unregistering your thermostat

If you remove the thermostat from yourTotal Connect Comfort website account

(for example, youre moving and leavingthe thermostat behind), follow thesesteps:

1 On mytotalconnectcomfort.com loginto your account.

2 Under My Account, select Edit MyProfile.

3 Click the Delete My Accountbutton.

Your thermostat will display an orangebutton that says Register Online.

MENUIf the thermostat is reset to factory defaultsettings, you need to change the thermostat

settings to match your heating/cooling system.Your contractor did this when the thermostatwas installed. Follow these steps to setup thethermostat, or call your contractor to do it.

1 Touch MENU.The thermostat displays a listof options.

2 Select System Setup. The thermostatdisplays the first screen of options that youcan change.

3 On each screen, make changes as neededthen touch Next to display new options.Repeat this step until you have made allchanges. Tables on pages 45-46explain the System Setup screens andoptions.

Software updates

Honeywell periodically issues updatesto the software for this thermostat. The

updates occur automatically through yourWi-Fi connection. All your settings aresaved, so you will not need to make anychanges after the update occurs.

Updates occur in the early morning. Afteryour thermostat receives the software, it

reboots, briefly displaying the Honeywelllogo. The screen then shows Updatingsoftware with a green progress bar.When the update is complete, your homescreen will appear as usual.

Note: If you are not connected to Wi-Fi or

registered at Total Connect Comfort, youwill not get automatic updates.

If you have difficulty with your thermostat, please try the following suggestions. Mostproblems can be corrected quickly and easily.

Check circuit breaker and reset if necessary. Make sure power switch at heating and cooling system is on. Make sure furnace door is closed securely.

Wait appearson the screen

Compressor protection feature is engaged. Wait 5 minutes for the systemto restart safely, without damage to the compressor.

Touch SYSTEMto set system to Heat. Make sure the temperature is sethigher than the Inside temperature.
