Ideology is basically the original thought behind the media text. It’s theorizing of a visionary or impractical nature.

Genre:

A genre is a style or category of art, music, or literature. Types of genre: Fiction. Comedy. Drama. Horror. Non-fiction. Realistic fiction. Romance novel. Satire

Representation:

Media representation are the ways in which the media portrays particular groups, communities, experiences, ideas, or topics from a particular ideological or value perspective.

Audience:

Audience is basically your target market.

Institution:

Institution is basically the media group or company that owns the production.

Narrative:

Narrative is basically your story line. It’s the way, the different elements in a story are organized to

make a meaningful story.
