The First Time in Forever,” “Love is an Open Door,” “In Summer”, “Let it Go,” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” Mr. Chaney would like to thank the students, parents/guardians, family, and grandparents

December 3rd, 2014 was the first Family and Consumer Science Day at Estill County High School and was observed across the state of Kentucky. Family and Consumer Science has over 36,000 students. FCS is the comprehensive body of skills, research and knowledge that helps people make informed decisions about their wellbeing, relationships and provides resources to achieve optimal quality of life. The field represents many areas, including human development, personal and family finance, housing and interior design, food science, nutrition and wellness, textiles and apparel and consumer issues. They also sponsor the student organization; Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, who complete a multitude of community service activities.
