Students continued learning about animals with a focus on animals in the zoo. Students used mind maps and discussions to access their prior knowledge about animals in the zoo. Students were introduced to the themed book, “Horton Hears a Who”, and practised making predictions and having discussions using the cover of the book to answer the “5 W Questions”. In health, the students will continue to learn and practise safety rules and proper stretching. Students will be trying a variety of jumps, and using proper starting and ending positions to ensure comfort and safety. 光仁小學 ESL 雙語班週報 – 一年級第二學期第十三週

This Past Week’s Events  This week students participated in interactive games and activities to practise speaking, reading and writing. Students continued learning about animals with a focus on animals in the zoo. Students used mind maps and discussions to access their prior knowledge about animals in the zoo. Students were introduced to the themed book, “Horton Hears a Who”, and practised making predictions and having discussions using the cover of the book to answer the “5 W Questions”.

  Open House will be held Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020. Please read, sign, and return the attached form stapled in your child's homework workbook as soon as possible.Students will be preparing for the Open House activities throughout the week. They are very eager and excited to share with parents what they have been working on in English class throughout the year.

We understand that this is an exciting time to see what your child has been working on in class, however, because of the COVID-19 situation, we are taking precautionary measures and limiting the number of people in the class at one time.
