WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING THAT DAY What To Wear • Come in your wildest Halloween costume and wear your trainers! What To Bring • There is NO need to bring a backpack, water and snacks as they will all be given
to you so make sure you don’t bring much because you’ll then have to carry it. • You will be given a poncho in case it rains. • Essentials to consider: tissues, phone, cash, and camera! KNOW THE CHARITY YOU’RE SUPPORTING • Walkabout Foundation is a UK and US reigstered charity that focuses on funding
research to find a cure for paralysis and donating wheelchairs to people in need around the world.
• To date, Walkabout has donated nearly 3,000 wheelchairs and funded over 1 million US dollars in paralysis research.
• To find out more about our work, please visit www.walkaboutfoundation.org WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO • KX Life and Oakley Capital are WALK ON THE WILD SIDE’s headline sponsors
and underwriting the cost of the walk. Therefore, 100 percent of all funds raised from the walk will go towards purchasing rough and rugged wheelchairs for individuals with disabilities in need in Haiti, Sudan, Kenya, Rwanda, Argentina and Colombia.
• Walkabout Foundation’s dream target is one wheelchair raised per walker (that's £200 pounds per person). However, every pound makes a difference. Here’s what the money you fundraise can buy:

A MAP OF THE ROUTE • Please see a map of the route attached on page 6. • The letter “R” in blue on the right hand side denotes the Registration area and
Start/Finish Line. KEEP LONDON TIDY • Recycling and all other rubbish bins will be placed throughout the walk route so
please ensure you hold on to your rubbish until you reach a bin. We need to ensure that the streets of London are kept clean throughout this event.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION First Aid • We will have Marshalls in Halloween “witch hats” and fluorescent jackets
throughout the route so if an incident occurs please reach out to one of them, and if an ambulance is needed it shall be called.
Toilets • You will find toilets along the route (see route map) but please be aware that you
may have to queue due to number of walkers. So to minimise queuing time we would advise walkers to sip drinks rather than take large gulps, and go to the toilet before the walk starts.
