Increasing use of soymeal in livestock diets• Meat‐ and bone meal ban due to BSE
• Expanding aqua‐culture sector use more fishmeal which has forced the livestock sector to search for other proteinforced the livestock sector to search for other protein sources, e.g. soymeal
• Soymeal high protein quality and competetivey g p q y p
• Today, soymeal consumption (via animals) around 50 kg/cap in developed and ~9 kg/cap in developing countries
