Exodus 31:16-17

V'sham'ru v'nei Yis'raelet HaShabat

La'asot et HaShabat l'dorotam b'rit, b'rit olam

The people of Israel shall keep the ShabbatObserving Shabbat throughout the generations

as a covenant forever

Beini uvein b'nei Yisrael Ot hi l'olam

It is a sign between Me and the people of Israel forever

V'sham'ru v'nei Yis'raelet HaShabat

Laasot et HaShabat l'dorotam b'rit, b'rit olam

The people of Israel shall keep the ShabbatObserving Shabbat throughout the generations

as a covenant forever

Ki sheshet yamim asah Yehovahet hashamayim v'et haaretz

For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth

U'vayom hashvi'i,u'vayom hashvi'i shavat vayinafash

And on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed
