Vodafone India conserves rainwaters for Farmers. Vodafone, in partnership with Kinetic India ,came up

with the idea of rain water conservation billboards. How does it Work?• This is being done by using five innovative

billboards by means of a U-curved aluminium sheet, a funnel to collect the rain water.

• That funnel is then channelled through a tube to a big storage tank installed at the bottom of each hoarding.

• A water sensor in the tank, enables the company to monitor the water level remotely, powered by a Vodafone SIM card.

• The water collected is then transferred to water tankers and taken to the farmers. After four weeks, around 20,000 litres of water had been collected and donated to farmers.

• Even if half the number of billboards convert

into Vodafone's rainwater harvesting service, it can help the farmers and several drought-affected areas in the region.
