The Gujri Bazaar is located on the banks of Sabarmati River which is being transformed by the upcoming project of the riverfront develop-ment.
The state has defined a new plot for their devel-opment.Considering its current configuration, a new market is designed on the assigned plot.

Preparation of a comprehensive Manual which will provide policy guidelines and product designs for street furniture to help build an infrastructure for the pedestrian town of Matheran.

Objectives:• To formulate comprehensive policy guidelines for
building a character of the social space in Matheran.• To locate points of design intervention for street
furniture.• To locate and provide for ideal disposal of tourist
friendly navigational/historical information.• To provide design details for streetfurniture and to pre-
pare specifications and estimates for the same.• To prepare a Manual compiling the above information
for future reference.
The physical character and its location hasmade the plateau one of the most favouredtourist destination in the vicinity of Mumbai. Itattracts tourists of varied interests in all seasonsexploring the plateau for its natural beauty. Asthe tourist activity is spread throughout theplateau it faces threats like encroachment andclutter. Stronger policy measures are neededto protect the natural beauty of the plateau. Italso needs a sustainable infrastructure for thepedestrian traveller.
This manual, aspires to provide a pedestrian infra-structure through a street furniture kit .It also pro-vides policy and design guidelines which will help to develop a coherent character preserving the natural beauty of the plateau.
Unstrategised location of Seatings Horses are tied to tress as no horse stands exists.
The scope of this Manualwas to understand the issues and provideregulatory measures to pre-serve the character.
For mapping the physical character,three components were identified based on theimportance of activity. These components areRoads, Headlands and Special Zones.

Major Roads (Primary) Type - 1 Nodes
Width The width of the road should not be more than6 Meters. In cases where it exceeds 6 Meters, its hould be defined with an edge and the excess space should be left for reju-venation of the forest.
Edges Edge of the road should be demarcated with a storm water drain. In case where storm water drain cannot be provided a curb stone,preferably laterite should be laid. The storm water drains should be built as per the standard section provided. The existing lat-erite culverts should be preserved, repaired and maintained.
Surface Finish
Road surface should be paved with Laterite stone, or compatible material which isecologically appropriate for the environment
Activity Activity related to movement of handrickshaws, horse riding and pedestrian shouldbe allowed. Any commercial activities or installation of advertisements and hoard-ingsshould not be allowed.
Seating To be provided at 100 Meters from each other and installed within the boundary of the road.

Art museum at Navi Mumbai
The site was divided into two parts-1. Public 2. Secured
The public area landscaped to incorporate art & entertainment related activites, similar to Kalaghoda, the art district in south Bombay.
The secured area houses the core museum building stepped along-side the contours. The linear enclosed spaces of the museum against the semi open tensile roofs for the semi open appreciation space.
The city museum, being situated in the residential + commercial hub of Navi Mumbai, aimed at targetting a wider range of people. The brief giving the flexibility of a location for the site, at the centre of the district and the junction of connecting the highway and intra city railway station.

Situated admist the surrounding agri-cultural land and the developing in-dustrial and rurban projects. It gave way for a flexibilty to develop withtin the complex.
The public areas include the school, clinique, club and market.
The central road with the pathway experiences a shaded collective space for the residence.

The row house and the bunglow clussters are laid out on the NE part of the site. Recieving shade from the shadows cast by the taller buildings.

Restaurant
The enclosed lounging area, a defined space for higher officials to separate from the college crowd.
The elongated ‘C’ shaped seating to accomodate more to the table as an informal space.
The large performance stage being the focus of the restaurant.
The built form as a fan panning out to stand iconic in the college campus and a better view to the college in the background.
Designing a restaurant in the college compound as-suming its usage to extend out to the outsiders. The restaurant aims at creating an informal seating elevated from its surrouning to enjoy the streaming activities in its surrounding.

Art resort located set equal distance from Pune and Mumbai, for creating a hub for all the aspiring artists to collect and conduct activities in their area of interest. Entrance porch enhanced and the surrounding areas subdued for giving a direction and to tame built environment.
