UNIFLEX INSIDE:Not everybody who works with UNIFLEX is aware ofusing an Uniflex hose crimper, for many leading compa-nies from industries such as fluid power technology, me-chanical engineering or automotive engineering useUniflex as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) -which means they back on the legendary quality of Uniflex hose crimpers, often with special modificationin accordance to the particular customer's product port-folio.So it is little wonder that companies such as Alfagomma,Anchor, Caterpillar, Eaton, Gates, Hansaflex, Parker,Pirtek, and many others frequently purchase "their"hose crimpers from UNIFLEX. Change of corporate form single
firm to G
mbH.
Relocated into a new w
orkshop and office.ISO
certification with
DIN EN
ISO 9001.
S7 was nam
ed as the successor of the original HM10 w
ith slide bearing technology.
S1 was for m
obile use and the successor of the HM14.
At the Hanover Fair in 2011, the improved
P300 test bench was presented. It w
as origi-nal due to its 4 test lines per cham
ber and thepossibility to connect 2 cham
bers in a mirror-
like settung, this test bench is particularlysuited for production.During the sam
e year, in order to satisfy therequirem
ents of the market, the HM
1200 was
designed for high-pressure hoses, large no-m
inal diameters and alternative applications.
In the beginning of the 70ies, the HM 10 hose
crimper w
as developed which could crim
p hoseassem
blies up to DN 40. 10 years later, the HM
10.3, the high-performance successor w
ith aw
orking range of DN 50, w
as launched which is,
in fact, the predecessor of the present S7 with
proven slide bearing technology.
The market dem
anded pre-finished, cleaned hoseassem
blies; at the beginning of the 90ies, UN
IFLEXconstructed the RG
1, the first device for thecleaning of hose and tube assem
blies. Soon after,the RG
2, a small and m
ore mobile variation, w
aslaunched.
During the first years of the new m
illennium, U
NI-
FLEX developed the new S-Line of hydraulic crim
-ping m
achines, equipped with a tubular piston tool
and slide bearing plates. The S 6 or S 8 / 10 with a
crimp force of up to 280 t created a new
genera-tion of w
orkshop crimping m
achines; the S 2 is de-signed for m
obile use.
UN
IFLEX had offered the opportunity to crimp fibre-
glass rods and insulators for a long time already, but
what about testing and cutting? In 2011, w
e intro-duced the ITM
300 (Insulator Tensile Ma-
chine), a tensile benchfor insulator testing. It features 3 testingprogram
mes and ise-
quipped with flexible and
universal connecting adaptors. Itis suited for a w
ide variety of insula-tors. W
ith the ICM 300 (Insulator Cutting M
a-chine), a cutting m
achine was built w
ith rollerguiding for insulators and fibreglass rods.
The HM 10.3 is laun-
ched on the market,
now w
ith a working
range of DN 50.
HM 19 w
orkshop crimper (m
anual va-riant w
ith hand lever orcontrol system
)
As early as in the 70ies, the EM 2 for the cutting
and brushing of hoses up to DN 40 w
as develo-ped.
At the end of the 70ies, UN
IFLEX completed its
range of crimping m
achines with the HM
18. Thislarge production crim
ping machine w
as based onthe innovative and patented tw
o-step radial crim-
ping system. The control system
featured a selectorsw
itch offering three crimping program
s.
In 1981, an innovative crimping center w
as laun-ched, the HM
18.5. Different jobs could be proces-sed sim
ultaneously on three sides.
With a crim
pforce of 500t,
the HM
500 at the 1987 Hanover Fairw
as the strongest crimping m
a-chines w
orld-wide. It w
as desi-gned
for m
ost heavy
fittings and
theUN
IMATIControl enabled to choose from
5 crim-
ping programm
es.
At the Hanover Fair in 2009, the HM 480
was presented as a crim
ping machine
with the largest opening path w
orld-wide.
It was developed to target the Am
ericanm
arket and for industrial hose assemblies
and extremely heavy fittings.
HM 310, w
as introduced as the new generation
of crimping m
achines with a super-flat crim
pingtool. It w
as the solution for curved fittings or fit-tings w
ith large dimensions.
The HM 200 Ecoline m
arked the launch of the firstm
achines of the Ecoline series. There were entry-
level models w
ith fewer options, but the sam
equality.
In the mid-80ies, the HM
20, the first fully auto-m
ated hose assembly test bench w
ith patentedclam
ping system, w
as developed. Since the be-ginning of the 90ies, the PE 20 has offered theoption to print and save test reports.
Further development of the S6 required a m
ethodto elim
inate the dirt produced during the crimping
process that previous had accumulated in the m
a-chine. Another invitation allow
ed this machine to be
operated from either side.
In the 90ies, the size and weight of fittings increa-
sed. In response, the HM 660 w
as developed atthe end of the 90ies in order to satisfy them
arket since construction steel(reinforcem
ent steel) was increa-
singly being used as well. .
Step by step, the machines are now
beingchanged to the M
VA (multi-voltage) design.
This gives UNIFLEX the possibility to speed up
deliveries to their global customers.
At the 1987 Hanover Fair, the first workshop and
production crimping m
achines with the pioneering
slide bearing technology were presented for the first
time.
Bearing plates on the press tool is:
higher performance w
ith less friction
no capping on the press tool
no contamination bylubricants

20 % les friction loss

The HM 300 crim
ping machine, the successor of the
HM 19, equipped for strong perform
ance and with
slide bearing technology, was designed for use for
small and m
edium-sized series w
ith a working
range of up to DN 60 and had a tool w
hich was ac-
cessible from both sides.

In the mid-80ies, the PTS 52
crimping and m
arking system w
as de-veloped in order to com

steel types are inserted into the marking and crim
