COHERE June 2017 June 2017 ULI PHL 2.0 is just getting STARTED! FAREWELL FROM OUR CHAIR This week marks the end of my term as Chair of our ULI Philadelphia District Council. I am proud to have put in place a new framework, steps towards strategic actions, new charged leadership, and specific opportunities for you to share in our mission. I encourage you to engage in shaping the next chapter! Over the course of the past two years we brought the ULI 2016 Spring Meeting to Philadelphia to profile the remarkable developments in our city and region, brought in Laura Slutsky as our dynamic new Executive Director, and sought your feedback about how we can set our organization on an innovative course to continue to grow our role as the preeminent land use and real estate organization. I often talk about our vision for “ULI PHL 2.0” and how we see ourselves adjusting along with our industry to serve and propel the region into the future. Our new Strategic Plan, a Framework for Action, builds on our strengths and creates a platform for you to join us to advance our common values and goals. The plan is purposely open ended to make space for our members to engage, put detailed strategies in place, and leave their mark. I invite you to think about where you fit into this framework. As is expected, we also have been working on a terrific lineup of events to kickoff the Fall, and an exciting program year ahead for you. I am now delighted to introduce you to our new Chair, Paul Commito, Senior Vice President for Development at Brandywine Realty Trust. I know that you will enjoy his commitment to our mission, energy and engaging leadership. Thank you for the pleasure and honor to serve as your ULI Chair and I look forward to catching up with you at one of our next events!
