Block UserThis means they cannot:-

• follow you• add you to a list

Twitter mute user• Their tweets and retweets become invisible to you.

• SMS or push notifications from their activity.

• The muted user can still interact with your tweets though–they can favourite, reply, or retweet your stuff, but those actions won’t appear in your Twitter timeline.

To unmute….Go to their profile>tap the red unmute icon (a speaker with a slash through it).

Tweetdeck and Tweetbot able to mute users, hashtags, or keywords. Use to mute a phrase or hashtag rather than muting half a dozen users on Twitter’s web or mobile apps.
