溶体流动速率仪操作指引1. MFI Definition/熔融指数定义

MFI is to measure the total melt weight when thermoplastic material is melt and flows though the standard molding gate under the certain condition of temperature and loading; unit is g/10min;熔体流动速率是指热塑性塑料在一定温度和负荷下,熔体每 10min 通过规定的标准口模的质量,单位为 g/10min,也称热塑性塑料的熔融指数

2. Purpose / 目的:To measure melt flow rate of thermoplastic material under certain condition, which is to distinguish the flow capability of various thermoplastic materials condition from each other under melt status;测定热塑性塑料在一定条件下的熔体流动速率,用来区别各种热塑性塑料在熔融状态时的流动性能。

3. Scope/范围For all thermoplastic materials which need to do MFI testing (flow rate is 0.15~50/10min) among LITEONMOBILE;适用于深圳光宝移动所有需做熔融指数(流率在 0.15 至 50g/10min.)的测定的塑料原材料.

5.2 Instrument Setting Instruction/设定介绍5.2.1. Press “Menu” key to enter setting mold/按 Menu 键,进入设定状态, (如图 3,按顺序说明)5.2.2. 5.5 Measurement Principle/测试原理It is to timed measure the flow rate of thermoplastic when it melt and flow through the molding hole by with specific length and diameter under certain condition with specific temperature, loading and piston inside the tube; which is to judge the uniformity of flow rate of polymer during process.

本机是依据在规定温度、荷重及活塞于圆柱筒内位置条件下,以计时测量方法测定熔融塑料挤过规定长度及直径之细模孔之速率,用以判别制程当口聚合物其流率之均匀性.

5.7 Operation Steps and Procedure/试验步骤及操作方法5.7.1 Keep the controller on the “open” condition将试料出口控制柄打至拆模位置,此时试料出口呈开启状态. 5.7.2 Use supporting tool to insert the molding block into the tube, make sure it sit right onto the material EXIT location; 用细孔模棒串住细孔模,并将其放入试料出口处管内(或将细孔模从进料口放入,然后用棒将细孔模捣入试料出口处管内),将细孔模置管内,可用观镜察看安装是否妥档,并将试料控制柄打至挡料位置5.7.3 Power on to start up machine;按下 POWER 键,启动机台。 5.7.4 Set down the specific time and temperature per material type;于温度控制器及计时器设定测试所需之温度及时间(见控制面板温度设定说明及操作说明)。 5.7.5 When the temperature reach the final temperature target, feed the material into tube. (Pay attention to push down when feeding material step by step)当温度稳定在定值后,按上加料漏斗向料筒中加入试料(注意边加料边用加料棒压实) 5.7.6 Insert tamper into tube, and then move up and down until all testing material push down into tube;用捣料棒插入圆柱筒并上下移动,直到试料完全捣入圆柱筒内为止。 5.7.7 Put loading stick into tube; 然后用加压砝码棒插入圆柱筒内。 5.7.8 Choose specific loading poises per actual testing criteria;依试验规定标准要求选用适当之砝码。 5.7.9 Add chosen loading poises onto loading stick, which will be falling down slowly along with plastic material melt in some minutes; 将选用之砝码置于加压砝码棒上,数分钟后试料溶解,砝码随之缓慢下降。 5.7.10 Start to do testing: move the controller onto “TEST”location;开始测试:将试料出口控制棒移动至测试位置。 5.7.11 Melt material will flow through the molding hole and out of the tube; cool down to be solid polymer/material; 此时溶解试料会由细孔模孔径流出。 5.7.12 Set method to cut off solid polymer/material (per flow rate range),

设定切料方式:(依流率大小选定切料模式设定) 5.7.13 The forepart solid material is not considered to use for measurement to keep the accuracy of testing result; normally when we can start to cut off material by scraper when the starting line reach onto the feed gate until the ending line reach onto feed gate,此时溶解试料会由细孔模孔径流出,为求测试结果的一致性,前段融解所流出都不予采用,直到取料开始线到达进料口时,立刻将其切断,才开始计时取料,而超过取料线即不再取料(如图所示)。

5.7.14 Continue to use scraper to cut off material sample when it flow through the molding gate;开始切料,(在设定的时间内机台会自动切料)。5.7.15 To weigh the cutting samples respectively (measurement need to redo if the weight of the heaviest sample and the lightest sample is over the 10% of mean of 3 material samples;样条冷却后,分别称重(若样条中最重和最轻重量差超过三条重量平均值 10%,则试验需重做)Process flow with pictures

5.7.16 Power off/关机,停止加热5.7.17 Cleaning the testing instrument

清理仪器:切取样条后,将余料全部挤出,去掉砝码,趁热取出柱塞、口模,用软布清理干净,料筒用压料杆缠绕棉纱清理。切忌用金属物清直接清洗料筒,以防划伤料筒的内表面。(警告:因机台处于高温中,清理仪器时,请戴手套,以防烫伤)

5.8 Final judgment/结果判定5.8.1 MI (g/10min) = the sample weight (g)*600(s)/set cutting time

塑胶的流速率 MI(g/10min)=称出的重量(g)*600(秒)/设定切料时时间(s)例如:

2g*600= 60g/10min

6. Maintenance/保养6.1 Clean up the device in time, using the metallic tools to do clean work is not allowed.随时保持机台清洁,粘在机台上的杂料不可用硬具清理6.2 Replace and clean the parts after using.所有配件用完后,均应清洁后再放回原位

7. Notice/注意事项7.1 Must fill the material into tube and start the trial within 5 min once the material has been dried.物料烘烤完成后需在 5 分钟内将其放入圆柱桶中并开始测试。7.2 The material should be pressed tightly by tamper when it is in the tube加料时必须使用捣料棒将料压实7.3 Warning: Please ware glovers once you clean the device.警告:因机台处于高温中,清理仪器时,请戴手套,以防烫伤
