The truffle
• The truffle is the fruiting body of subterranean ascomycete fungus.
• The truffle is spread mainly in Italy and France. In Italy the most famous is “White truffle of Alba”. French gourmet Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarine called truffles “the diamond of kitchen”.
• The truffles are found with the help of dogs, in France also with pigs because it is an old tradition.
• The truffles are cooked with pasta, bread and meat. There is also oil with truffle and vodka with truffle.
