students provide community service in government agencies and educational, civic and advocacy organizations. Students call SLED “amazing” and report that it teaches “lessons to last a lifetime.” Since the fall of 2007, they have amassed thou-sands of hours of community service.

One of the most beneficial things you can do while enrolled in college is to live on campus – studies show living on campus positively impacts students’ lives, enriches their day-to-day interactions, and makes their col-

lege experience more fulfilling. Whether you are an undergraduate or a graduate student, single or married, with or without children, you are sure to feel right at home on campus. Explore all your options at housing.nmsu.edu.

Living Learning CommunityLiving Learning Communities (LLCs) are groups of undergraduate students who live together in the residence halls based upon common interests and they’re a great way to get connected on campus. The College of Education’s LLC creates a supportive environment that helps our students smoothly transition from high school. You will gain a lot from the opportunity to interact with faculty and staff outside the classroom while exploring educational themes. Your community assis-tant, an upperclassman in the college, will design and implement activities, events and programs that will connect you with fellow students sharing similar interests and academic and personal goals. There’s no extra cost to live in an LLC, but the benefits are huge.

Reserve your room in our Living Learning Community in Garcia Hall by applying online at housing.nmsu.edu/applications. For more LLC info, you can call 575-646-3202 or email [email protected].
