● �Ten�research�books�have�been�published�after�continued�surveys�(Tohoku�University�Earthquake�Recovery�Firm�Survey)� regarding� the�recovery�process�of�regional�economy�and�industry�in�the�affected�areas�of�Tohoku�(north�eastern�Japan)

● �Research�results�were�reported�and�policy�recommendations�made�at�the�World�Bosai�Forum�(International�Disaster�Risk�Conference)�held�in�Sendai�in�2017.

● �In�2018,� a�public� participatory� symposium�called�Miyagi�Voice�was�organized�and�held�seminars�on� the� themes�of� “export�of�agricultural�products�from�affected�areas”�and�“Human�Factors/ergonomic� issues�of�earthquake�reconstruction”.

Research Center for Aged Economy and Society （from April, 2015）● �Purpose� :� To� conduct� advanced� research� on� the� aging� economic�society�and�corresponding�public�policies,�contribute�to�problem�solving�associated�with�the�progress�of�the�aging�society,�and�also�use�the�results�to�contribute�to�education�and�society�in�general.

⦿ �Main�Activities�in�2018：-��On�Children’s�Day�in�May�every�year,�the�“Child�Population�Clock"�which�clearly�visualizes� the�situation�of� the�declining�birthrate� in�Japan� is�published-�International�Symposium�“Issues�in�Super�Aged�Society�I,�II”.-��Academic�Survey�(conducted�in�March�2019)�regarding�the�health�status�of�elderly�people�eight�years�after� the�Great�East�Japan�Earthquake�with�734�Samples

⦿ International�Exchanges-��International� joint�research�project�with� the�Aging�Economy�Research�Center,�National�Cheng�Kung�University,�Taiwan

Since�2014� the�Graduate�School�of�Economics�and�Management�of�Tohoku�University�has�been�offering�an� international� program�called�Global�Program� in�Economics� and�Management� (GPEM),� specifically�targeting� students�who� aspire� to� become� global�professionals.�The�goal�of�GPEM�is� to�offer�graduate�level�education�in�economics�and�management�and�to�equip� the�students�with� following�skills;�1)�an�ability�to�address�the�problem�and�to�elaborate�the�solution,�2)�an�ability� to�understand� the�problem� in�a�global�context,�and�3)�an�ability� to�collaborate�with�people�with�different� language,�culture,�and�values.�GPEM�is�designed�for�both�International�and�Japanese�students.�GPEM�will� be�mainly� taught� in� English,� and� it� is�possible�to�obtain�a�master’s�degree�by�taking�courses�taught�in�English�only.�At�the�same�time,�for�those�who�wish� to�continue�research�beyond�master’s� level,�an�opportunity� is�available� to�enter� the�GPEM�doctoral�program�after�finishing�GPEM�master’s�program.URL:http://www.econ.tohoku.ac.jp/english/page-gpem.html�

Last year, I had an amazing experience as an exchange student at Tohoku University. As a foreigner who does not speak the local language, I found moving to a new country with totally different culture rather intimidating at first. This thought of mine was immediately eliminated the moment I set foot in Tohoku University, thanks to everyone being genuinely kind and helpful. Over the past 6 months, I was so fortunate to have met lots of incredible people, from friends who taught me Japanese every weekend, to professors who spent extra effort to make sure every student can excel in class. There were a number of subjects that I could choose, and all of which were so engaging that I felt excited to go to school every day. After 6 months, I can confidently say that I have grown tremendously, both from intellectual and personal perspective. Looking back, my experience at Tohoku University is beyond any expectation.

As a part of the new Double Master Program of Tohoku University and University of Paderborn (Germany) I enjoyed exiting and educative semesters in the wonderful and traditional Japanese city Sendai.Tohoku University is well-organized regarding student exchanges. The DIEE (Division of International Education and Exchange) helps you to complete bureaucratic formalities, offers regular day trips to visit cultural attractions around Sendai and organizes the tutor/buddy program. This program is voluntary but I think it is the ultimate chance for a deep dive into Japanese culture as your buddy is a Japanese student. You should use it!The GPEM program is characterized by a large variety of courses (most of them are held in English) as well as kind and motivated professors. Lectures are held in small groups which results in a convenient learning atmosphere and useful discussion with other students. I had good experiences, especially with the supervision of my project report – thank’s again to Prof. Hibiki for your great support. I could report unlimited more positive things about Sendai, Tohoku University and the GPEM program, but I'll stop here and conclude: In my eyes, doing the GPEM program at Tohoku University in Sendai is the best for all study, living and broaden one's (cultural) mind. I’m happy to have had this rewarding experience.I'm sure you'll be thrilled as well. So, enjoy your life-changing time in Sendai!

実践的な視点から学ぶ寄附講義

　経済学部では、「経済学と経営学の融合教育」と「少人数教育」を柱とした教育を行っています。経済学部は「経済学科」と「経営学科」の2学科から成っており、学科の所属は3年次に進級したときに選ぶゼミナールによって決まります。しかし、どちらの学科に所属しても授業科目の選択まったく自由です。また、ゼミナールでの少人数教育に力を入れており、3・4年次の2年間、教員や先輩・後輩との深い信頼関係の中で学習と研究を行います。　大学院は、経済経営学専攻と会計専門職専攻（会計大学院）の２専攻があります。経済経営学専攻には、経済・経営学分野に精通した職業人や研

究者の育成に重点をおく「経済経営リサーチコース」と国内外で活躍できる高度職業人の育成に重点をおく「高度グローバル人材コース」が設置されています。会計専門職専攻には、公認会計士を養成するための「公認会計士コース」、会計領域の研究者を養成するための「会計リサーチコース」、社会人のリカレント教育、高度な会計および周辺領域の知識の獲得を目指す人のための「ビジネスアカウンティングコース（2020年4月から）」が設置されています。

　東北地域のイノベーション能力の向上を図り産業振興と経済発展に貢献するための企画提案や人材育成を行っています。

⃝震災復興研究センター　東日本大震災直後に東北大学内で最も早く災害調査・復興研究の組織を立ち上げ、学内外機関と連携して東北地方における地域経済・産業の災

害からの復興に関する調査研究を行っています。 ⃝サービス・データ科学研究センター

　ビッグデータの有効活用によるサービス産業の生産性向上とイノベーション創出のための研究を行っています。

⃝高齢経済社会研究センター　高齢経済社会及びそれに対応した公共政策について先端的な研究を行っています。

　地域イノベーション研究センターでは2013年度より震災復興支援

プロジェクトの一つとして「地域イノベーションプロデューサー塾（RIPS）」を本格的に開講し、経済復興を支援するビジネスリーダーを育成してきました。　2014年から3年間、米国に本拠地を置く世界最大級の金融サービス機関であるプルデンシャル・ファイナンシャル・インクの社会貢献事業を担うプルデンシャル財団から、同塾の卒塾生に対する事業化資金として約1億円の支援を受けました。その助成金は、RIPS 卒塾生の厳選した13社の事業化資金として活用され、東北地方の復興支援に大きく貢献しました。

　2016年から高大接続教育事業を実施しており、仙台第二高等学校

との総合的学習支援を行っています。高校側の要望に応え、高等学校教育改革、大学入学者選抜改革、大学教育改革等の方針に沿って、実施内容を検討し進めています。　2018年からは、宮城第一高等学校の要請を受けて、国際交流事業の連携を行っています。文系学部の中でも留学生が多く、日本人の派遣留学者数もトップである経済学研究科では、高等教育のグローバル化を積極的にサポートしています。また、各高校側からの要請により無償の出前授業を行っています。

　2020年4月より、東北大学会計大学院では既存の公認会計士

コース、会計リサーチコースに加えて、「ビジネスアカウンティングコース（1学年定員10名）」を新設します。　今後は、地域社会においても広い視野と学識を持った公認会計士がさらに必要となるので、リカレント教育を含む公認会計士の養成を担ってほしいという地域社会からの強い要望にも応えるべくコース設置を検討しました。　広く門戸を開放し自己推薦入試を導入します。多様な科目設置、実務家教員による授業等により、多様なニーズに対応できます。また、週末・夜間時間帯の開講科目を充実させ、社会人の学び直し（リカレント教育）に貢献します。　講義は利便性の高い片平キャンパス（JR 仙台駅から徒歩15分）で開講。勤務等の事情がある場合、最長4年まで履修期間を延長することができます（その場合でも授業料は2年分）。なお、審査を経て1年または1年半での修了が認められる場合もあります。

【経済学研究科独自の経済支援】「東北大学基金須永重光経済学部支援基金」（本学名誉教授・須永重光の遺贈による基金）[ 支給額 ] 月額5万円[ 採用数 ] 各年度4名[ 資格 ]１．東北大学経済学部出身者２．本研究科博士課程前期２年の課程に在籍する学生で、本研究科博士課程後期３年の課程に進学する意思の

学生への経済支援として、東北大学独自の奨学金、日本学生支援機構奨学金、地方公共団体・民間奨学団体等の各種奨学金があります。　　　また、入学料・授業料免除及び徴収猶予や月割分納等の制度もあります。

　経済学部・経済学研究科では、毎年、短期留学プログラムを実施しています。経済・経営分野に特化した課題解決型のプログラムです。2019年2月に実施されたプログラムでは、ベトナム貿易大学に学生を派遣し、ベトナム貿易大学の学生との共修を行いました。現地の日本貿易振興機構、七十七銀行での研修、一日インターンシップ（三菱商事ベトナム、キューピーベトナム、TOTO、イオン）では、テーマに沿って調査・議論・提案を行い、現地社長や社員

の方に評価していただきました。ベトナム人学生との共同作業を通じ、日本と異なる文化の下で、どのように問題解決をしていけばよいのかという体験型の研修です。短期プログラムの成績により、単位認定されます。
