Lessons Learned Recording is done after incorporating the
student feedback, which effected the content qualitatively and quantitatively
the very process enthused to students to ask deeper questions and help to generate quality oriented questions
It influenced three developers in a way that changed their established way of teaching the subject

Development of courses
• a pool of around 50 institutions that teach-IITs, IISERS, NITs, IIITs, Central and State Universities spread across the country
• materials will include (4Q) - Web based tutorials and handouts- archived lectures and experiments- “in silico” learning

Efforts so far …
• Small focus groups- content providers
• Divide into experimental/ resource material (wiki) focus
• Coordinate for amalgamation/ distribution at central/ server node(s) for easy access.
• Concentrate on Wiki- web first

Efforts continued….
• 202.141.40.218 on the ernet at present
• Older pages on brihaspati continue
• Content providers/ reviewers have been given their own logins.

• 21 courses in physics and 13 in chemistry
• Only 6 courses completed; other courses in various stages of completion/ review
• 2 and 3 rd quadrant started in 3 courses
• Personnel problems
• More courses are expected to be on by end of this year. Feedback from students and reviewers is being sought

Future plan• Hold a one day workshop to enable content providers come together and clarify their
doubts
• Make part payments on content pages basis rather than bulk payment on completion of all work.
• recent changes and web viewing statistics are available on each and ever page.
• Back ups are being taken and soon mirror sites will become available
• Concentrate on university syllabi
• Integrate with other similar projects

Cost benefit analysis
As per the project proposal, e-content of around 16 subjects would begenerated.
The subjects relates to electronics and animation domain, which are indemand by the students for better job prospects and skill enhancements. The workingpeople would also be able to join the courses and get benefit from the quality e-content.
The cost of the project vis-a-vis number of students that can take advantage fromonline web enabled e-content justifies the economic viability of the project. The studentscan undertake the online training at anytime, anywhere. This would reducethe learning cost.
The dissemination of knowledge would be more and spread around the world, withoutany location limitation.
Easy Access to Subject Experts

Social impact The e-content relates to the skill development courses that student from various streams often undertake to get a better job and placement. Skill development centres, student community as well as in service professional would be greatly benefitted from the quality content. Our training pedagogy is depicted in Annexure – A2
Generating skilled manpower at various levels Self paced learning opportunitiesQuick re-orientation of professionals in IndustryReduce digital divide and Benefit for the industryEasy availability of Quality e-content and Subject Experts
As the programs are specialized in nature, therefore they will be able to fill the need of acute shortage of skilled manpower in these advanced topics.

Outcome The project outcome would be e-contents of around 16 subjects on skill development course in electronic and animation domain. The skill development course proposed are job oriented and as per past records, students prefer to join such course for increasing the employability prospects. The norms of CDAC Mohali are given in Annexure-A3 pertaining to courses. Training program Eligibility and Expected Competency at the end of the course are depicted in Annexure-A4
Through the online e-content modules, the overall cost of education would be reduced. At the same time, right quality content would be available to the student community and learners. The specific outcome would be;1. Regularly Updated and reviewed e-content2. Reduce shortage of skilled manpower in the specialized areas of electronic product design, animation, biomedical electronics and instrumentation, and RFID.3. Benefit for the industry 4. The rights of the e-content will rest with MHRD.5. Generating e-content for Training Programs mostly based on Open source packages (Pilot Phase plan is to generate e-content for 360 hrs with 4 Quadrant approach as given in Annexure-A5 )
