Pendahuluan
Istilah “TERMODINAMIKA” berasal dari bahasa Yunani :1. THERME Panas / Kalor / Heat 2. DYNAMIS Gaya / Force
PANAS Ditinjau sbg kemampuan benda panas (hot bodies) untuk melakukan kerja (work).
PANAS Secara umum berhubungan dengan energi dan sifat-sifat (properties) dari zat yang ada
hubugannya dengan energi.
Termodinamika dpt didefinisikan sbg ilmu tentang energi.

Batas lingkungan / Batas sistem (boundary) : batas maya antara sistem & sekeliling (dpt diam atau berubah)
