1 All items of work under this Contract shallbe executed strictly to fulfill therequirements laid down under Basis ofDesign in the specifications. Type ofequipment, material specification,methods of installation and testing andtype of control shall be in accordance withthe specifications, approved shopdrawings and the relevant IndianStandards, however capacity of eachcomponent and their quantities shall besuch as to fulfill the above mentionedrequirement.

2 The unit rate for all equipment ormaterials shall include cost in RUPEESfor equipment and materials including alltaxes and duties and also includingforwarding, freight, insurance and

transport into Contractors store at site,storage, installation, testing, balancing,commissioning and other works asrequired.

The rate for each item of work included in All materials, fixin materials, Wastage on materials and labour. Loading, transporting, unloading,handling/double handling, hoisting to alllevels, setting, fitting and fixing in position,protecting, disposal of debris and all otherlabour necessary for the full and entire

execution. Liabilities, obligations and risksarising out of Conditions of Contract. All requirements of Specifications,whether such requirements are mentionedin the item or not. The Specifications andDrawings where available, are to be readas complimentary to and part of the Bill ofQuantities and any work called for in oneshall be taken as required for all.

In the event of conflict between Bill ofQuantities and other documents includingthe Specifications, the most stringent shallapply. The interpretation of theArchitect/HVAC Consultants/Owner shallbe final and binding.

4 All equipment, quantities and technicaldata indicated in this Schedule are for theContractors guidance only, these arebased on the documents prepared by theArchitect/HVAC Consultant. TheContractor shall be paid for the actualquantity of work executed by him inaccordance with the approvedShop/Construction Drawings at thecontract rates.

5 This Schedule shall be fully priced and theextensions and totals duly checked.

6 No alteration whatsoever is to be made tothe text or quantities of this Scheduleunless such alteration is authorized inwriting by the Architect /HVAC Consultant.Any such alterations, notes or additionsshall unless authorized in writing be

disregarded when tender documents areconsidered.

7 In the event of an error occurring in theamount of the Schedule as a result ofwrong extension of the unit rate andquantity, the unit rate quoted by the biddershall be regarded as firm and theextensions shall be amended on the basisof rates.

8 Any error in totaling in the amount columnand in carrying forward the total shall becorrected. Any error in description or inquantity omission of items from thisSchedule shall not vitiate this Contract butshall be corrected and deemed to bevariation required by the Architect/HVACConsultant.

9 The Contractor shall procure and bringMaterial/Equipment to the site only on thebasis of drawings approved forconstruction and shop drawings and noton the basis of Bill of Quantities, whichare approximate only. This also applies tothe Contractors requisition for Ownersupplied materials.

10 All Control cabling & wiring required tomake the system complete shall betreated as part of equipment, panels etc.and nothing extra shall be payable on thisaccount.
