Light Efficiency and Optical Spread

The 6 TIR LED Module is manufactured with both 35 ° and 20 ° Optics. The light spread produced by both models are in line with standard DOT requirements for emergency vehicle and warning lighting ap-plications. As shown in the graph above, the vertical spread is consistent on both units at 20 degrees. The horizontal spread for all warning lights is 35 degrees.

Water/Environmental Testing

120 PSI is equivalent to a water submersion depth of 2000+ feet.

As electronic components are susceptible over time to water and environmental dam-age, it is significant for emergency vehicle lighting equipment to be well sealed. The following test results demonstrate the rigidity of our manufacturing and sealing process. The Cobra T6 and 6 TIR LED module can withstand an internal pressure of 120 PSI without any damage to the unit. The pressure test shown below shows a functioning unit submerged under water with an internal pressure of 120 PSI. This rating is equivalent to a water submersion depth of more than 2000 feet.

Feniex 6 TIR/T-6 Module

Radio frequency interferences (RFI) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) can effect the inbound and outbound trans-mission of radio systems by producing a significant amount of static. The following readings show the RFI and EMI output produced by the 6 TIR LED and T-6 modules and comparable products via a China manufacturer and a US competitor.

The Feniex 6 TIR module and the T-6 produces 0% RF noise from 1 MHz to 500 MHz,

Thermal Testing

Thermals play a vital role in the life expectancy of emergency vehicle products. The photos below demonstrate a heat chamber test at 300 degrees. The first photo is a before photo of the Cobra T-6 and the second photo is after the unit has been placed in the heat chamber for 6 hours. This test stimulates the higher ambient environmental and extreme conditions over a period of 8 years. This test was conducted with a comparable US competitor and China competitor product. As indicated in the graph, the T-6 was able to with-stand the environmental conditions over a longer period of time than competitors.

Voltage Spikes/Automotive Transients

A switching spike test was performed to test for high transients. These voltage spikes range from -150V to 100V+. The test was ran over 300,000 times (60,000/minute) to simulate a period of 5 years. The 6 TIR LED module and Cobra T-6 during these tests ran without flaw, due to integrated transient protection which prevents circuit degradation over time.
