Precision – Control – Results T-Ray ® 5000 TCU531n Control Unit The T-Ray ® 5000 Control Unit changes the paradigm of Time Domain Terahertz (TD-THz) generation and detection. No longer is terahertz the experiment. Now it is the tool. With interchangeable fiber coupled heads and all necessary components built in, the T-Ray® 5000 moves terahertz measurements from the lab table to the bench-top to the factory floor. It delivers precisely controlled optical signals to the T- Ray® Transmitter and Receiver, enabling them to generate and receive terahertz signals. Measured terahertz signals are processed and exported at a rate of up to 1 KHz, making the T-Ray® 5000 the fastest time domain terahertz system available in the world. Operating in either reflection or transmission mode, the interchangeable fiber coupled sensor heads deliver a picosecond duration TD-THz pulse, allowing high speed, scanned images to be easily produced. The T-Ray 5000 Control Unit and its accessories are linked with manufacturing grade connectors and interfaces suitable for an industrial environment, but fast enough for even the most demanding experiment. Adequate connections are provided to allow seamless integration with most imaging systems. The well defined interface connections make experiment integration simple, yet powerful. APPLICATIONS • Terahertz Time Domain Spectroscopy; solid, liquid, gas phase; polymorph discrimination; explosive detection • Terahertz Imaging: high resolution (150 microns); high speed (800 pixels per second); THz CT imaging • Art Conservation: identify construction; image through pottery; view previous repairs; non-destructive • Security Research: baggage screening; personnel screening; shoe screening; anomaly detection FEATURES BENEFITS • Compact enclosure • Easy to install • Mates to fiber coupled sensor head • Easy reconfiguring of experiments • Integrated data processor • Provides linearized waveform • Standard monitor and USB connections • Does not require specialty monitor or keyboard • Digital inputs available for measurement control • Trigger for data recording and tagging

picosecond duration TD-THz pulse, allowing high speed, scanned images to be easily produced.
